So, are kara demons really worth it w/ ER? I really don’t feel like it has any real use besides as a really awesome game changer if you really feel like giving up all of your meter. Or as one of the best ways to finish a match.

Also, w/ ER, are there any better commands to kara demon w/ besides his f.mp? I remember there was a video showing all the different kara demon setups but i can’t remember if it was oni’s, akuma’s, or ER’s. Also, i can’t remember if they were any useful. >_<

Sidenote: anybody here think there should be more ER? This iteration of the guy is actually a lot of fun (imo) and it almost makes up for the fact that there’s no evil ken this time around :wink:

I don’t think you should save your super bar for a kara demon (since 2 bars at the least will give you close to demon damage), but if you have it stocked, it’s a very deadly weapon in your arsenal.

You can also kara it with f+MK. It gives you more range than f+MP.

Fucking love Kara Demon. See you’re opponent blocking or backdashing a little to much and Kara demon will do 370 unscaled damage.Even more effective when they’re in the corner as it takes less to set it up. However in the corner, you can easily connect cl.fp after c.mk xx had fadc so it’s up to you.

Hells yeah, shit’s so satisfying to land a kara demon. It’s actually the only reason I ever played as akuma and the primary reason I picked up ER. :3

Also, here’s another Q. I haven’t played ER in a while but I’m assuming that you can combo c.mk xx hadouken, fadc c.hp … right? Also, how effective (damage wise and stun-wise) to do c.mk xx hadouken fadc f.mk xx ex tatsu? The idea came to me when i was playing around w/ a buddy and I was trying to get him into the corner. The combo launched him pretty far and made it a lot easier to zone him into the corner. He was playing as Vega (then as Abel) and I think it’s an effective way to force people away/into a corner but I’m wondering if there’s a more effective combo that does that.

c.HP as in crouch HP?

If so then yeah. In fact, it’ll hit where close HP whiffs. Does less damage than close HP, but I think it does more than crouch MK. Nagao09 has a good eye as far as when close HP will whiff and crouch HP will hit.

As far as your other question, you should hit the training mode and let us know. I’ve never tried it. The standard FADC combo pushes them in the corner pretty far (with you close to them though).

Dash, I think. It can be weird, depending on the time of the jump, the dash may becomes a backdash. Anyway, if its on the mid of the screen you will have to guess the right place to dash, so a backdash may be good aswell. Even when you guessed right and dashed to the correct direction, you still will need to be hella fast in order to understand what happended and proceed acordingly, otherwise you wont catch him in time.

If you have a full meter you can to OS into super, its really effective, catch both of his teleports (PPP and KKK) and it autocorrects very well.

EVIL RYU
Dash: 18 frames

Backdash: 28 frames
[1-8 invincible, 9-17 airborne, 18-28 grounded]

now im trying to figure out the dive kick frames…like when ur in the arc frame of a jump its not 36 frames i think its 28 frames cause of the angle ur doing the dive kick idk i know im wrong about the 28 frames but i know im close to the actual frame

ps im working out a better guide for evil ryu that will be update often im just waiting on my imac to get in so i can do some video editing to go with it

It’s only 4 frames of recovery if you stick out a move. Otherwise you can go straight into block after the 36th frame.

Dan is the only one that Ultra 1 will miss if u dash forward even after crumple of Focus Attack Level 3

After Focus Attack Level 3 if u backdash,Ultra 1(full charged) will connect only to 1) Hakan and 2) Rufus

I didnt test anything about Counterhit Focus Attacks to all above

I´m having a lot of trouble safe jumping cammy, is there any setup whiffing normals that works on her? Her different wakeup time really make it difficult. I have setups to make the dp whiff, but then you can´t punish her.
