chinese mame32 hack team has a working emu that can run them.
also cvs2 is a fucking HUGE rom.
mario, cvs2 has massive slowdowns, as does marvel.
and there is no direct joystick support for those emulators forcing you to use keyboard converters which then add more lag and inconsistancy.
all i know is that my mame cab will now need an upgraded pc.
ok so i got the rom, and i used some mam32 based emu… and it didn’t work correctly, it took about 5 mins to get past naomi bootup and then sat at black screen <clap>
so unless someone can walk me through using Dos/run version of mame i wont be seeing if it actually works.
Makaron is definitely worth checking out as a worthy DC emulator. A little tricky to setup at first, but once it’s up and running i’d say it’s performance is easily as good as Chankast and NullDC with the added bonus of controller support :lovin:
Yeah, the CvS2 rom is pretty hefty, something like 1.2Gb extracted, but 320 something Mb’s compressed. My PC is no slouch, but like you the NAOMI bootup took forever to finish loading, only to end up with a black screen.
I wouldn’t be worried about that though, it’s still early days yet. I’m sure within a few months we’ll see something alot more promising…
Naomi a runnin’!!! (with decent fps too)
the DC Demul emulator made by some russian programers has support for Naomi arcade roms too… but not for Naomi GDROM yet, so no GGXX/CVS2/MVC2
