Times are changing or I must be getting old. I would play for hours under the influence(not neccessarily booze either) and be on point! My wife has voiced concern over the tourney at our house. Maybe we can have it my job - I work at a semi-private Country club thats closer to milwaukee and racine. For those who prefer it there will be vitamin water and fiber one bars as well as beer and sandwiches for the old people like me. I’m sure my boss wouldn’t mind - he’s pretty laid back. Give me some feedback on what systems/games people would be interested in.

I’m black as they come…born and raised in southern Mississsippi. I just happen to get in good with rich white people and I have a white (snowbunny) wife. AND - the boss said he doesn’t care what I do, as long as we don’t burn the place down. So it’s on fellas, we have a 42 in plasma in the dining room a little above eye level…I think we should just have a pc plugged in and run all the games from the pc…i have ps2 adpaters if someone needs them. I wish i could find some cheap sticks, I would set up a arcade stand. Who knows…maybe this could turn into a regular thing, especially in the winter when it’s dead as hell around here.

I actually going to have a working stick in the next two weeks. I’m modding one of those Pelican Real Arcade Universal sticks with some Seimitsu parts since the stock parts are complete ass. DPs for everyone soon.

Do you guys run SF3 on GGPO a lot? I just started using it this week and I must say I like it more than kaillera and I was with kaillera since its conception. Funny story though, I was playing this cat last night and he got all salty because he said I was doing supers on “wake up”. WTF does that mean? I’m getting old for real because now there’s SF ettiquette. Dude was supposed to be tight - I tore that ass up, and he kept throwing me a like a lil bitch. I don’t compain when people throw I just stay find a better attack method. I couldn’t believe this dude …told me I needed to study the lingo so we can be on the same level. I beat him like he stole something and thats what I get. Most other cats on there are real cool though. I’ll be on later tonight and my GGPO tag is Outlaw978. Peace-

On wakeup, means when you get knocked down, right when you get up you do a special or super. It’s a trick as old as fighting games themselves and it really makes some people roll their eyes when done too much. You can easily get baited into doing them and then paying for it. Another example of this is getup kicks in tekken, but those win tournaments in wisconsin.

We like to call those getup kicks in Tekken “nub kicks” 
So is it bad to do them or should the other person learn to stay back a little bit - i think all is fair in fighting games…especially these days when almost everything can be countered. There was none of that stuff in the old days and nobody bitched…Maybe there are too many options in todays fighting games. Too complicated…dunno…I’m still trippin’ on dude from last night though…wow, what a punk. I should just change my name to “wake-up willy” then people would know!
