Meh, I understand that most people at 18-22 don’t have mad bank, but you should definitely make purchasing a vehicle one of your main priorities; not just because of SF, but because LIFE requires you to be mobile.
my LIFE generally occurs within a 3 mile radius of my house. so my rusty old schwinn does right by me.
not to say that i don’t miss having my own car from time to time ( i do miss my olds! the DESTROYER!) however, it goes without saying that gas prices would prevent me from using it all that often anyway, and i still would be depending on my rusty old schwinn for the bulk of my transportation. so hitching a ride or borrowing a car every once in awhile is fine by me. here’s some gas money.
