I’ve soldered wires from the “signal” areas to my terminals. Wires then run from the terminals to their respective buttons or joystick microswitch. Additonally, I have the ground located on the left portion of the up directional of the pcb attached to a terminal. My black Jlf ground wire runs to that. Every buttons is also connected to that, as shown in the 4/5 of the way down this page http://slagcoin.com/joystick/pcb_wiring.html
I’m pretty sure all my connections are good, but I’m still having problems. None of the buttons or the joystick works when I turn on my 360 to the inital interface. The applications that scroll out rightword under “My Xbox” only shows two applications for some reason. The analogue attached to the PCB will allow me to move up and down, but not left or right. The LB and RB buttons attached to the pcb also work.
This is the second time I’ve gotten to this stage with the electrical. The first time, I encountered the same problems. Thinking I broke the board, I bought a new pcb. This time, I’m sure I havn’t damaged the board. I still have no clue why its acting like this. Help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.
Aww, thx so much, I got the 2009. That’s probably my problem. In the old slagcoin diagram, the ground is the opposite portion of the up directional! Hopefully switching the stuff around will work, thanks guys!
Alright, as it turns out, that was the problem. The only problem I seem to be facing now is with my LT amd RT. The solder joint for those are the middle joint of the oragne resistor on the back, right? Or has that been outdated too, lol. It doesn’t show how to connect those two in the picture…
edit: start, select and xbox buttons arn’t working either, but I should be able to figure out why
