Wiring 18th button (capture/touchpad)

I know from the controls to the fight PCB, every button must be wired to ground. May I have a diagram of where to wire the 18th button and its ground (which for every system this handles as well we’ll as all except ColecoVision doesn’t matter how the grounds and PCB connect as long as grounds connect to grounds). If my joystick system has one ground for each button, they only have to be separated between the input and be the wiring of the PCB, so it matters with Coleco and no where else.

So if that are already has a ground, should I do nothing except wire the signal? And if it doesn’t wire the ground to the 18th ground, just to keep consistent?

It is a Brook Universal USB brand.

Very confused here on what you’re talking about

How does it “already have a ground”?
For any button to work it has too be connected to the signal line and a ground line. Otherwise you have an open circuit that does all of nothing.

Sorry, I was explaining the very specific complication of making my joystick system Coleco compatuble.

Each button has an individual ground pin to deal with the 2 ground system of CV.

But all other systems will accept ANY ground, because it’s all the same. I just wire the ground closest to the touchpad/capture button to that’s button’s ground (which is any ground) so the 18th button can actually work.

I just wanted to see if the wiring is that simple for the Brook Universal USB. Wire capture signal to capture, and capture ground to ground nearest capture.

I was mostly talking to myself, but yes, Freedom Gundam anyone who doesn’t understand my system incorporates ColecoVision would be lost, and would be Martian.
