I would assume that the remote power-on is basically a firmware function of passively listening for paired bluetooth enabled controllers to broadcast that the PS button has been pushed so if Hori actually licensed the rights to use the DS’s bluetooth profile then remote power-on would be pretty much assumed.
The text in Ikagi-san’s image basically says as much that this is the first time a non-Sony controller can do this (for stress-free gaming at that).
@Roddy I think he means that the cable door is easily removable… This is present in all hrap v3 sa/se models. Personally i think its better that way cause nothing can actually break, just pops on and off… I can take pics if ya want to see what i mean?
I want put pictures up, but it does not seem possible from an iphone. Anyone know how?
Also about the stick I think it is the same as other hori sticks with the cable door never really fixed on to the stick.
I’m very keen to use the stick on pc using the bluetooth wireless mode.
I have motionjoy/ds3 tool installed on my pc which works with a normal ds3 pad with Bluetooth.
I’m hoping using this program will allow me wireless pc bluetooth play!
My only problem is de-syncing the stick from my ps3. I remember I has the same problem with a normal ds3 which needs to be unpaired with the ps3 before I could use the motionjoy/ds3 tool for wireless play.
To achieve this I used a pin in a little hole on the ds3 to unpair it.
However after finding this pinhole on the wireless hori stick on the right hand side of the control panel, the stick is still paired to my ps3. I tried a few times holding the pin in for a while as well.
So my question is, how do I unpair the stick from my ps3?
The instructions are in Japanese so I haven’t a clue.
Has anyone else had any success using this stick wireless on pc?
I don’t think this has anything to do with what you are looking for, but since I translated it anyway, I’ll put it here. It’s about changing from Bluetooth to USB.
It says that once you press the reset button/change the switch from Bluetooth to USB you have to follow one of the following methods:
A) After changing the switch, wait one minute before connecting the USB cable to your PS3. That’s because even after changing the switch the stick still sends some data to the PS3.
B)Press and hold the PS button and turn off the stick when it asks you to. Then change the switch and connect the stick to your PS3.
I’m gonna look for the manual online a little bit more, but I don’t think I’ll find it.
I got the Hayabusa version of this stick. In Bluetooth mode, this is essentially a DualShock 3 in HRAP V3’s clothing. Miles ahead of the dongle-based wireless controllers for PS3.
