WIRELESS Hori RAP.V3 SA

I cannot find any in-depth reviews of this product or any mention of what motherboard it is using so I cannot answer your question.

I’d be surprised if there was a problem with it working on PC, but without further information then there is always that risk.

Thanks, now im relieved i might get one soon

does this site help?

its on japanese but i used google translate page on it

but im no expert with this stuff so i don’t know if it helps

Nope. All their testing is on PS3, no mention of PC.

The motherboard looks a little like the Tekken 6 wireless pcb but is still too different to make a judgement from that alone.

but i hear that the wireless hori tekken 6 sucks :(?

it doesn’t look like the previous v3sa/v3sa kai? the inside components

Yes, because it has crap parts, a cheap plastic shell, and a wireless only motherboard that sucks the life out of batteries. The motherboard in the WRAP stick which this thread is about has a USB option which makes it immediately better than the T6 stick.

i came across

and read
"If you have an Nvidia chip your PS3 stick won’t work on PC, UNLESS you plug it into a USB 3.0 slot."
is this for hori? or madcatz?
my chip type on dxdiag display tab is geforce by nvidia…

Older MCZ sticks only.

okay thanks for clearing that up

And there nothing about USB 3.0 nor anything about nvidia.
Yes the PS3 has a Nvidia video GPU but that has nothing to do with the joystick.

The issue was older Mad Catz PS3 sticks only supported UHCI USB protocols.
THE PS3 supports all USB protocols.

PCs may lack UHCI protocols if the Motherboard chipset (or USB controller chipset) isn’t licensed by intel as UHCI is a intel

The fix for the older Mad Catz sticks was discovered before the release of USB 3.0
The compatibility fix was finding a USB 2.0 PCI card that supported UHCI Protocols.
With the introduction of USB 3.0, some USB 3.0 cards include support for UHCI protocols.

This issue was only in mad catz?
Hori up to now didn’t have this type of issue? Because I think my PC doesn’t support UHCI protocol since I plugged in a SFIV TE stick that I borrowed before and i didn’t get it to work

Only in Older Mad Catz sticks the SF4 SE and Rnd 1 and 2 TE.

Hori never had that issue, Hori sticks run on OHCI and EHCI and maybe XHCI for newer sticks.

Okay thank you for this info

i just bought the stick and it works on PC as well:)

but the stick has lights that keeps on blinking the 4 red lights (on pc) not ps3
how do i make it stop?

Keep in mind the Stick was designed for the PS3, and its searching for it’s PS3 player designation.
You can try to cut the power to the LEDS, cover it up with electric tape or ignore this

Do want, will get

tested it on a ps3 both wired and wireless and it works perfectly, i can’t really notice a big input delay difference on the wireless mode

@gh0stx are you able to turn on the PS3 with the stick wirelessly the same way as you can with a dualshock 3 controller?

only the Sony Sixaxis and Dualshock 3 controllers have that function.

This image suggests otherwise.
