Wipeout HD: Racing Euphoria

How the hell are you supposed to barrell roll on Moa Therma? I can’t find a spot, even with boost.

EDIT:

On Moa Therma the VERY last turn before you get to the finishing line stretch if you hug the turn then go as far left as you can theres a little spot where you drop off and catch a little bit of air either do a very fast barrel roll or do the JF version.

Yeah its Santo.

Someone negged me because they thought it was Missy Elliot.

I thought is was Babs

I thought it was Remy Ma

Yeah, Assegai is basically the Akuma of ships. Bleeds badly when other ships decide to bump you. But if you get a lead with it, then you basically won for the most part.

On the other hand, Feisar is slower than shit. You CAN’T compete with that ship at all, unless a) Novice AI or nobody else knows how to play, or b) you just go on full attack mode and use every pickup you run across. If that’s your strategy, you may as well pick Assegai and use pickups to recharge your energy instead of attacking. It might be tough to fight for an X in an 8-player race, but if you maneuver ahead of the pack and end up near the top 3, the weak shield becomes a non-issue.

And Magstrip tracks are terrible, it basically turns the game into F-Zero. It’s the reason why I hated Wipeout Pulse on PSP and I wish they left them out of this game. Thankfully there’s only two of them (if you don’t count the reverse tracks).

I agree to a certain extent, the stats definitely look like the beginner ship. But does the handling stat really make a difference? It’s like they’re just turning the sensitivity up, the ship doesn’t really turn better (although it does), if the turn is not sharp enough, you don’t have to airbrake, if it is, you do have to airbrake, doesn’t really matter what ship you have.

Death: Agreed.

Taito: If you think i cant compete with feisar on ANY TRACK and get 1-2nd place i think the only track id have trouble is the track in the clouds because speed really matters on that track. Then you can pick ANY ship and ill 1v1 you with feisar and show you how skill matters and how feisar will make you base strong. Dont talk shit about that ship just takes skill and a lil bit of wits. In fact if you like japanese drifted why do you think the AE86 OWNED the better Skylines on the japanese Touge circuits even though that car is SLOW AS SHIT. ITs because its handling to accel ratio is fucking pure win. The only person that could stop the touge king is someone with Years of racing driving and even still they would have to pass him to even tie half the time. Dont forget you have weapons too.

evilj: Yea it makes a difference in helping beginners learn the basics of this game. I dont understand why people think stats dont make a difference makes no sense those stats do matter same just take assagai into consideration sheild is a smidgen lower and like i agreed with before with death the ship is like the gouki of fucking ships. stats matter and again if you disagree then we can go 1v1 rapier and ill show you how building a base even with a beginner level ship is key for beginners.

You wanna race?:wgrin: I’m still trying to get all gold before I get up online, I’m still event 3 which is like venom. it’s a bitch to get the wired connection downstairs. We’ll play sometime I think I’m free on friday.

I don’t know I never really tried feisar, it just seems slow<-stats do matter like you said. Oh BTW, when Taito said “You can’t compete with that shit at all” I don’t think he was specifically talking about you. No need to start challenging everyone who disagrees with you, though I’m sure you’re pretty good.

what speed class does zone mode get to? i thought it was just phantom, then i got to super phantom so i thought ok you cannot get faster than super phantom but then i reached zen

Dont quote me on the names but i know there is a medal for getting to 75. “Zone Zues”

Id only assume 75 or 99

More questions let me help you peeeeeeeepssss

Exactly, I just wanted to get a discussion going but it’s no biggie. I’m in this thread to set up a game time. I’m free this weekend but my time zone (Japan) is a bitch.

Understood yea your time zone will be a little funky to play with…

Wipeout was frustrating the hell out of me for a while since I haven’t played in since it was on the PSX and also turned off pilot assist, but now I am doing alright. I’m on Head Rush right now.

Time trials helped me improve. I don’t think playing Zone will give you that much improvement since you are going really fast and the stats for all of the ships are all at 100. But if it helps, who cares. So who wants to race?

Does tilting your ship um or down help at all? I still suck ass at this game.

not really accept for helping your see in certaint instances, but its not necessary

no vids?

NO my TV shorted so there wont be vids for another week or two
