Btw, Irben still has that poster for TST on their window. Somebody should make a general SSGA poster saying “Wanna Learn Street Fighter?” and list contact info along with other games (Tekken, Marvel, Guilty Gear, King of Fighters) to get the entire crowd. Then we can give it to them and have them hang that up instead.

Well there’s BaseLan this weekend on Saturday (3rd Strike starts at 2pm) at the Earl Grey Community Centre which is considerably closer than the UofM.
If you don’t want to put the effort in we don’t want you coming out anyways.
I find it kinda weird that there are Winnipeggers who are not willing to bus it through the city…and yet, Toronto and other places have people who bus and subway 2 hours across the place to get to gatherings and stuff…
Yeah, there’s not really much excuse especially considering how much smaller Winnipeg is.
Jo and Mark live in the North End and would bus it every week to Ranbats.
Matt’s from the West End.
Shane’s from the West End.
Andrew’s from the North End.
I often head to Ranbats from my grandparents which is in the North End and it’s usually an hour bus ride from my own house.
Keith lives in Birds Hill of all places.
If that’s too out of the way then you simply didn’t want to go to begin with.
Actually Andrew lives in the North end. He’s bussed his ass down a few times to play. Took a ton of trips to shanes place to play. Keith came out weekly for a while. So you’re just a douche bag as far as I’m concerned.

You can find arcades at silver city polo park or you can look me up cause I’ve got a few sticks that we use for any fighter in general and not just tekken.
Tekken 5’s at the Silver City Polo Park but it’s not very good. It costs 1$ to play, it’s 5.1 (meaning it’s neither the PS2 version nor DR), it’s just a Tekken 4 cabinet so there’s none of the T5 arcade features and the sticks are messed up.
If you ever want to gather with us or come to a tournament, we’ve got tons of sticks (both Japanese and American style) that you can use.

We might be doing a charity event within the next couple months. There might be a Tekken tournament there so we’ll email you if it happens.

Ever since 3rd Strike got emulated, I’ve been hooked! I got some other friends into it and we went arcade searching a while ago lol. There basically is none besides UofM, but their SF3 stick is busted. Theres MvC2 at Ruckers though, but I’m not into that.
Anyways, anyone play Kaillera here? I’d like to play other wpg peeps, p2p rocks!
A couple of guys tried out 3rd Strike at first on Kaillera but I don’t know if they do anymore. A couple of us play on GGPO but we mostly prefer actual gatherings and tournaments.
There’s a pretty nice 3rd Strike scene here though. We’ve got a charity tournament happening at the UofM on Dec 1st.
