Smart Park Event Center 100 - One Research Road

$5 registration fee
$5 entry for each game entered.
As always, spectators and casual play are FREE.

Cash prizes with nothing taken from the pot entries. The pot is split among top 3 with a 70/20/10 ratio.

Here is a Facebook Event if you want to see who else is coming. Check out the event on our own forums too.

Rules are standard for every game.

Double elimination tournament brackets with best two out of three matches.
Grand finals and Winners/Losers finals are three out of five.
Winner keeps same character, loser may switch character.

UMvC3 has the only exception of being 3/5 sets throughout the entire bracket.

We follow the standard EVO rule set. This includes banned wireless controllers. This is a BRING YOUR OWN STICKS/CONTROLLER event. All games will be played on US Playstation 3 consoles.

The console equipment will be labeled and registered to ensure its safety. However, please be careful with your sticks. Furthermore, if you know you’re attending and you do not have a stick to use, make sure you have a friend who can donate.

For pad/PS2 stick players, we tend to have PS2 pads and/or converters around, but don’t take this as confirmation of us having them there for you. Bring your own to be safe as opposed to being disqualified for not having a controller available at time to play. We cannot hold up the tournament for your convenience.

What are your guys Injustice turnouts usually like?

Our big summer tournament last August had 22 entries. Our last event in January (BaseLAN) had 10 entrants. We’ll likely get around 10 again. But for an afternoon of your time and 10 of your dollars I’d say meeting local players and supporting a game you like is worth it.

Man wish I woulda new about that Aug tourny, I’m from Calgary and probably would have traveled for it.

Good luck with this

@Jimmypotato‌, ah I assumed you were a local. Well if you’re still interested by August, we’re doing our “big summer tournament” in late august. Keep an eye out for when I come back to post more about it later in the year. We get a fair number of Saskatchewan players coming down every year for the NR games specifically. I’ll admit, the drive from Calgary to Winnipeg is zero fun though.

there are worse drives lol. I’ll def keep an eye out for the Aug tourny
