In my experience, you can simply do roll (atk + special) and you still have enough time for an OTG ToS. No need to try and wavedash.
And I’d still like my questions to get a response if anyone knows

All of that info is in the Brady games guide, i think the AA super has 12f of invincibility with 13f startup, i think you’ll have more trouble with it whiffing versus being hit out of it (sentinels air super comes to mind as something that’d be difficult to grab). ST gets more invincibility the higher the level, i think it starts in the low teens, and then goes to mid twenties at 4/5. If I remember when i get home i’ll get you exact numbers. In short, yes, at higher levels the invincibility extends beyond startup (to the best of my knowledge).
Grab box on AA super feels like it extends maybe mid-forearm, only in front of his body though, doesn’t seem like it’d ever connect if the opponents grab box was behind him.
as far as safety of light tools of survival, its distance dependent for sure, since you can practically do it mid-screen. That too when i get home.
Anyone have a general idea of what projectiles frank’s Blue Cart Special can nullify? I know for sure that it can nullify the obvious beam super’s like Nova’s, Dormammu’s Chaotic flame, Ryu/Akuma’s beam etc. But i know it does work on some specials as well, i think Dormammu’s black hole assist.
I’m almost 100% positive it doesn’t work against ammy’s cold star assist (and nemesis’ rocket projectiles). But an idea of what it works and doesn’t work on may give us further tools to bait out xfc with safe/invincible DHCs when an opponent tosses out an unsafe special.
This may be dumb, but I’m a frank noob saibot: how does a lvl 4 frank generally want to open someone up? I’m assuming he can’t rely just on roll behind, nor on chip-chip-chip-super when they hit a button. I’m playin nova frank hawkeye, so if all go toes to plan, I usully have access to arrows and (can’t decide which nova assist). Thanks!
I usually do frame traps and block strings to make them press a button. For example:
[st. m, cr. m, st. h xxx L zombie swing] xN
They are forced to block this because not only is it a great frame trap, but you can easily hit confirm the st. H and if they block all that and not block the zombie swing they can get launched.
After a while, they will be trained to block that way or to mash pushblock. So at that point I can delay my attacks to bait it out, or I could slide to catch them blocking high, or if I see an up-back coming, I do his anti-air grab, or I could j. m, j. m, j. s them, or I could call an assist and then roll so cross them up. Skys the limit with this man.
Anybody with a vita got an image of the camera flash hitbox? Its a really strange question/issue, but I try to level frank up off of round harvest from trish and sometimes I’ll super jump to go and catch them and the camera flash just won’t do anything even though it looks like I should be at a range where it would. Its sort of misleading sometimes, I can’t begin to think of what the issue would be. Can’t tell if I’m to far away horizontally, or if I’m to far under them or something like tht cause there doesnt seem to be a discernable “hit box” for the attack.
How do you hard tag Frank in and take a picture before you opponent gets up?
DHCing from Survival Techniques causes a hard knockdown so you usually have enough time to do a hard tag and then take a picture, but that depends on the hyper you DHC’d into. Wesker’s counter doesn’t give you enough time, but stuff like Zero’s Sougenmuu ou Wolverine’s Berserker Charge give you more than enough time to follow it up.
I am trying to hard tag him in after Vergil Dimension Slash or lunar phase. I know I can DHC whiff Survival Techniques, but I was trying to rely on that last meter.
Sorry if this has been asked before or if it is common knowledge, but is Frank West getting to Level 6 common knowledge?

In this video Noel Brown gets Frank West to level 6 doing his typical 3 meter combo that usually gets him to level 4/5, but in this particular match he is level 6?! Is my eyes playing tricks on me? What are the requirements for this and what exactly does it do? It seems like he does a shit load of damage that’s for sure.
It’s likely that’s a fuzzy 5, but even at full screen it definitely looks like it could be a 6. I was under the impression 5 was the max, so I’d be curious if anyone has any further insight on it. My gut says it’s a 5 in low quality video. <shrug>
I just got the game a few days ago and I’m still really, really bad lol. I’m currently running Frank/Ammy/Dorm, but my friends beat me down because all they really do is teleport everywhere from the beginning of the match until the end and i have no idea what to do about it. Sorry for such a scrubbish question, but any help would be appreciated.
Just some questions…what are Frank West’s weaknesses when he’s leveled up? It seems like he doesn’t really have too many…
I’m looking at it in full screen at 720p which should be more than enough to tell if it is a 5 or a 6 and it is definitely a 6. It’s not like it’s the biggest deal in the world or anything, I was just under the impression that 5 was the highest too and wanted to at least know if there was a special requirement or something to achieve level 6.
Maybe a ninja change in that last patch? Just seems like the kind of thing the SRKventhubsphere would have blown up loudly and instantly. If it’s a 6, great catch! Hell, even in this thread no one seems to care. : / If it’s a “hoax,” it’s a very practical one.
It says 5.
Look at the “skipping level 1 frank west” thread. I compiled a list of known DHC level cheaters with frank. It’s incomplete, but theres a bunch on them.
Edit: misread your post, thought you wanted to keep nova.

I found this Glitch, Frank west’s Shopping Cart goes around.
Actually, I ultimately DID keep Nova. But when i posted that I didn’t think I would. Though it’s still good to know the other options, thanks!
I’m also looking at full screen at 720p at full screen and it’s definitely a five. If it really was Lv. 6 then more people would have noticed already.
Now that we’re off this idiotic blurry 5 thing, does anybody else think Frank actually has a pretty good camping game with the right assists? Assist daggers from Arthur backed with bottles of wine or orange juice do like 200,000 damage.
