Will UMvC3 be rare in a few years?

Long story short:

Remember when MvC2 was like 80-100 bucks online for PS2 and Dreamcast? (cause it got discontinued pretty early in 02/03, similar to what’s happen now) MvC1 was like 40-60 bucks? Then, the moment they released MvC2 on XBL/PSN, the games Ebay prices cut in half, cause it was no longer hard to find anymore, and you could just grab a digital copy. Now with MvC2, MvC Origins, and UMvC3 no longer being sold digitally anymore, does that mean the prices will shoot back up to pre 09 Ebay prices? I don’t think they make physical copies anymore, so it’s only a matter of time before peoples disc start breaking, getting too scratched, or whatever, only to find out when they want a new copy, it’s a lot more expensive and harder to find right? I was wondering cause the same thing happened to MvC2 (mvc2 was one of the last blue PS2 disc games as wThoughts?

There are plenty of fans of the Marvel© brand that don’t even play FGs that are collectors. So physical copys will always be in demand.

I highly doubt it. As a collector of older video games, I don’t see the value going up anytime soon in anything released within the past 5 years (with the exception of Collectors or Limited Edition releases).

People aren’t throwing away games or boxes like they used to.

It depends on your definition of “rare”. It might sell for $40-$60 in the future, but UMVC3 will never sell for over $100. It’s not MUSHA.
