Since Udon has made a Darkstalkers comic, what about a Red Earth one? The ending work for the Red Earth characters in CFE is mind blowing! Just looking at one of them makes me wonder if Udon is considering doing a comic about Capcom’s rarest fighter. Does anybody think this comic would be a good idea?
I wouldn’t mind a Warzard Comic myself as an 8 issue Limited Series, but first Capcom should re-release it, even on the PSP or on some X-Box/PS2 collection disc that has Battle Circuit, Cyberbots and Street Fighter 1.
They should make a comic of the Capcom version of the Alien vs Predator game before they make the Red Earth one. And yes, I know Dark Horse has the rights to the francises.
Why would they? How many people in the US have played the game and give a shit about the characters? Two?
please Udon. tell capcom to rerelease Warzard
i wanna play it
it should be great
PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Fuck red earth and you hauser. Nobody gives a shit about ya too. If a comic were to come out it would,nt sell good because nobody really played the game only people in japan. Well this shit should,nt come out.
I see somebody’s a little strung out, do I even know you? All I asked was question, period. If you don’t like the game, fine, that’s your opinion. But until I cross your path STFU. You don’t give a shit, fine, I don’t care, I was simply suggesting an idea you idiot. Know one else made any personal attacks so what’s your problem? Hmm… I see your located in “bronx, NY”, your not that wus over at SNK-Cap are you? If so, You and your 5 punk ass crew can shove it! I’d whup all of you one by one, or at the same time. If not, from the words, Hmm… on down don’t apply to you. Sheez, children.
I’ve never headrsf od Red Earth so i don’t know if i’d buly ti. peronsally, if Udon made it i would buy the first issue or perhaps two juts because it’s Udon. but othewrise no.
I’d rather just see Warzard/Red Earth characters making cameo/guest appearances in the DS comic.
like sano said; capcom should release it oon consoles, i wanna see what it is all about. it would take no development team, just a team to port it over, how hard is that (i know nothing of game indusrty). Why havent they done that already since they are so fond of milking their old shit and releasing half-assed new shit. Release Red Earth on Xbox (i aint got ps2); start a pettition.
That sounds like a great idea. Oh, and I know that Warzard/ Red Earth didn’t see much play here in the U.S., but after seeing some of the characters in CFE, I was thinking that maybe Warzard/ Red Earth would get some kind of revival, like when Strider appeared in MVC. After that appearance, they made a sequel to his first game, which at the time was almost 8 or 9 years ago. Many of you will probally say that his previous game was a classic, which it is. But it was dead. Warzard sucked in the arcades for one reason only: you could only play as 4 characters, even in a 2 player battle. More characters, who knows? It was meant to pave the way of what SF3 was gonna look like (animation wise), still, if it had been promoted more, probally on a home consloe system, I think it would have done great.
for potential console release make bosses unlockable
Book by Book.
Now that I think about it Sano your idea is GREAT! A mini- series! I’ve thought up a great idea for it and all. 2 books that tell the story of each of the 4 selectable characters, 2 books that end story with a fight between the characters and Blade (a suit of armor brought to life by the green diamond in it’s center) *(the diamond is actually Blade), and Scion (a wizard). I’ve provided an idea of what I’m talking about so you all can get a better visual:
Book 1: Leo’s story- It should start with a half-man half-lion warrior escaping a kingdom in the land of Greedia, in shackels, to a near by cliff, where he looks back to the kingdom, swearing that he would return. Now since Hauzer is Leo’s first boss fight, his first battle should be with… Hauzer. After defeating Hauzer, Three wise men (Valo, Vigo, and Vetsu) appear before him explaining the cause of his situation and tell him to go to Alanbird to find a special weapon, for he will need it in his coming battle. Upon going to Alanbird, Leo passes by a severly beaten man (Tanuma- a man that turns into Kongou), and offers to help him but the man refuses and Leo continues on to Alanbird.
Book 2: Kenji’s story- Starts with Kenji recieving orders from his Shogun (Naosuke)to eliminate the threat that is attacking the village near where his Shogun resides. Kenji’s first boss is Kongou. And like Leo… When Kenji arrives he sees an old rival or rival lord of his Shogun named Tanuma, words are said, and then Tanuma turns into a huge, savage, massive Oni ogre named Kongou. A fight ensues, and Kenji is victorious. Kenji leaves Kongou there, in hopes that he dies with the burning village. But once Kenji leaves Kongou, reverts back into Tanuma, who picks himself up and just barely escapes with his life. Kenji is then approached by one of his soldiers that tell him, the Shogun has requested Kenji retrieve a gem from the Crypt, which is across the sea. Kenji, without hesitation proceeds to do just that. Not knowing the soldier that approached him is an assasin from a rival clan sent to eliminate his Shogun.
Book 3: Mai-Ling’s story- Her story starts with her coming back from a martial arts tournament, that she won, only to find her village, in the land of Gora, completely destoryed. Her first boss is Lavia (a harpy). Lavia from out of nowhere swoops down and attacks Mai-Ling, a battle ensues and Mai-Ling is the winner. After the battle, Lavia begins to glow with a bright green light and suddeenly transforms into a more beuatiful, and peaceful harpy, that tells Mai-Ling that a wizard used a green diamond to change her into what she was, explains what’s currently affecting the world, and apologizes for all of the destruction. While on a boat Mai-Ling sees Hydron and his followers swimming in the ocean. She looks sabove her and sees a floating castle. And says to herself that’s where she’s going next!
Book 4: Tessa’s story- starts with Tessa making a small expolsion while she experiments with making new spells. Then she hears a scream. She goes outside to find a little girl (Mamuru)and her grandmother (Yubaba) getting attacked by something that looks like a tentacle. Tessa’s first boss is Hydron, they fight, and after Tessa beats Hydron he squirms off into the ocean with his followers in tow. After being thanked by Mamuru and Yubaba, Tessa is not to long encounterd by a knight named Ronberuto. Tessa then learns that all of the worlds current problems are coming from ne place, Darminor! She sets off to Darminor to confront who ever lives there. Along the way she passes Alanbird only to find Arumana IV who’s sitting in the shattered remains of what looks to be a statue, wondering how could it be defeated. She then turns her anger and revenge to Tessa. Arumana calls forth the Sun Staff and attempts to fight Tessa. However, Tessa makes quick work of the Egyptian Queen. After beating Arumana Tessa takes the Sun Staff as token of her victory, unaware of how powerful the staff really is.
Well that’s 4 of my ideas, I could post the rest if you’d like, but I like to hear a little feed back first. So, how do you like so far?
Agrered! Couldn’t say it better myself.
yeah, that would be a great idea:
Warzard + Street Fighter 1 + Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper (Matching Service) for PS2
and Capcom should make a special edition of SF1 like SEGA does of their old classics (golden axe & others)
for example the SFA style with Ryu, Ken, Sagat, Adon, Geki, Retsu, Eagle, Joe, Lee, Mike Bison, Gen, Birdie all playable with art and (new cannon) ideas from Udon!!!
And SFA3U(MS) with Eagle Maki Jun Jang and the Matching Service’s Dreamcast Versions’ possibility of chosing freely with what two characters you wanna fight the bosses…
Or they chould put the SF1 characters in the SFA3U and make it easy
to Hauser: your ideas are great. and perhaps it is even possible to incorporate Warzard into Darkstalkers…
This is exactly what I was talking about, this would practically be a DarkStalkers and Warzard cross-over with that in mind, keep the characters in their original game series’ otherwise we just get cheesey dream matches that screw up the plot entirely.
I don’t like the idea of crossovers either, although I do like the idea of a SF1 w/ SFA3 game in one.
Are u serious?
Well I like that idea, I’ve been wanting an Alpha style re-make of SF1 for years(Where all the characters are playable and have unique endings), its the comics I was referring to.
Hauzer - Your story sounds cool, only thing I would suggest is that you keep showing characters you introduced in future books, so it doesn’t seem like 4 one shots. For example, show Leo in books 1, 2, 3, and 4. Show Mukuro in books 2, 3 and 4. Show Mai-Ling in in books 3 and 4. These can be brief one page appearances or you can continue bits of there stories in other books, just so by issue 5 the reader doesn’t forget about Leo. You don’t have to right this in your outline so long as you keep it in mind.
Anyway, sounds great! You should write a Fan Fic about it, since we SERIOUSLY need more Fan Fics here at SRK, and snk-capcom doesn’t have a single Capcom Fan Fic!
Yeah, I turned my idea for an X-Men vs. SF comic into a Fanfic. As always, my Fics tend to be 50/30 with half telling me “You suck! Stop writing!” To others saying it’s cool, to everyone else just being nice trying not to hurt my feelings! But I don’t care since I’m insane… I’m no great writer but I always give it my best effort. My Fic’s ongoing, I update once a month.

Oh, and my CFAS Fic, that I actually FINISHED putting me ahead of 90% of other Fan Fic Writers!

And that’s enough from sano who has gone off topic and is obviously in love with himself! :looney:
