At this moment, nothing solid on them yet within the first 6 issues. But at least Gen will play a part in the second arc I am sure, and we will see where we can fit the rest of them in place.
No, we have not forgotten them. Same as any character that has not showed up yet, just that we gotta have them come in when it makes sense.

Quite true. Retsu and Lee have their purposes but Geki’s story is speculation at best and Joe, well, heh, seems to be just an average Joe. Udon seems to have things planned out quite well.

-Retsu- Another (of the four: Ken, Ryu, Dan, Ret) student of the Ryu/Ken teacher (I forget his name). He disappeared after the first tournament where he was looking for his master’s killer, but he was too weak to do anything.
-Geki- He’s the ninja and I think he’s retired but his daughter Ibuki will probably be featured since she’s in SF3 and on the all-characters cover of issue 1.
-Birdie- Issue 1 and hopefully more since he rules!!!
-Eagle- Well he’s on the all-characters issue 1 cover as well.
-Gen- Also on the big cover (Gen is in SF Alpha I think).
-Lee- Gen’s son and yang and yun’s father retired because he couldn’t cut it. At least his dad and kids’ll be there.
-Joe- Probably not since he was pretty worthless
-Mike- Rumored to be Balrog, so he might have already appeared in issue 1. But if it’s ever cleared up and it turns out he isn’t Balrog then he probably won’t appear.
-Adon- More than likely.
-And the obvious ones have already appeared (Ryu, Ken, Sagat).

Oh and on the subject of Joe, here we have the opportunity to have one fighter look good by handing Joe’s ass to him on a silver platter. I mean, think about it. By having Cammy get beat up, you piss off Cammy fans. By having Ken get beat up, you piss off Ken fans. By having Joe get beat up, you can make everyone happy. See where I’m going with this? Joe = jobber, but a jobber with RELEVANCE.
And BTW I never heard of Ibuki and Geki being related. I’ve only heard they are from the same ninja clan.

Well, the last one says he’s her uncle, but I always hear he’s her dad. So if I’m wrong can you please tell me why, and what real relationship (if any) there is between them (Ibuki and Geki). Plus, He does hover after her fights in some cases.

Retsu was never a student of Gouken. He practices Shaolin Kempo for crying out loud!

Geki is not related to Ibuki in any way, and the ninjas appearing in her win poses are some other characters, all named.

None of them are related (except Yun/Yang, of course). Gen might have adopted the boys when their parents died, but he did teach them for a while.

If you’re including the SF1 characters, do you plan on modernizing their appearances/personalities in any way? So that they’re less bland, I mean?
Slight correction: Yun and Yang are related to Lee. It’s just that he’s not their father. Someone at MMCafe with All About Capcom stated that AAC said that Lee was their Uncle. Saiki then looked through AAC, himself, and discovered that AAC said that Lee was “a relative of Yun and Yang’s” (and also mentioned that in no way could the word for relative be mistranslated as “father” in this case).
Sooooo… I know at least that Lee is a relative of their’s. Uncle seems like the most logical fit, really.
