Will SFxT be the new flagship FG?

He wasn’t on cross assault when he said it. He was on LIJoe or Marns stream.
I don’t get what’s so hard to believe about this game becoming the flagship. If not I’m 99 percent sure it will be more popular than marvel.

Ehh, as much as I’m liking what this game is offering, I’m honestly expecting this once it comes out. I really hope people like it, but after SFIV and MvC3, I think some people are just praising it because it doesn’t have things they don’t like about SFIV or MvC3 in it.

But then when it comes out and we as a community break it in, we’ll be complaining about so and so set up or so and so team or so and so gem combinations. I’m weary, is all.

When people get their heads out of their rear ends about the bad opinions about the game it will.

It’s a good game. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see it now after Cross Assault. People aren’t comfortable with change but the real issues at hand is just the gems and tournament organizing, not the gems idea and implementation in matches themselves.

I’m not sure how the USB gem data will work out. I hope it’s easily plug in and pull out. The old 360’s don’t have that many ready USB ports I think.

top players say they love it and everybody accuses them of being on the payroll,

you know it might be hard to belive , but it might actually be a good game :open_mouth:

while the competitive scene is imporant to capcom , you think the average joe who will pick up this game and make the majority of sales is going to know or care who flash metroid and ricky ortiz are? enough for capcom to just start paying out ALOT of top players to say its good?

I don’t think so

The only people hating on it seems to be the people that blindly hate anything Capcom and/or people who haven’t played it. I don’t really see what could be so bad to warrant the “oh god I hope not” comments. The cast has pretty good variety, there’s no real comeback mechanics, no footsie killing focus attacks, reversals seem weaker, etc. The only bad thing is maybe the throw range and damage, but now there’s a stronger high/low game. Gems have been proven to be an almost irrelevant concern.

I think SF will always be the flagship, but maybe this can take over 2nd place from UMvC3?

Because flash metroid loves Guilty Gear to death, so saying he likes SFxT is better is a big deal to him.

I really think this will be at least 2nd.

Dunno, that’s what he said on marn’s stream.

Thing is, this isn’t a versus game. it’s it’s own thing. It is built on Street Fighter fundementals, with some Tekken sprinkled over it(Crazy Juggles. bound, etc)

But for the rest, it’s pure Street Fighter.

See this as Tekken Tag.

Yeah, I think this will take over UMVC3; it’s fundamentally a lot more solidly designed game. You can say the gems stuff is pretty crazy and doesn’t belong in it but it’s like it’s own method of letting players balance the game out but creating players own versions of characters.

AE2012 is still a beast in it’s own rights and with the supposed last update to the game there’s going to be a logn road ahead with tiers and narrowing down match up specifics.

Quote me 1 Year from now, This game will be like MK.

Hold me on that.

Except nobody was saying MK was going to be the next SF3 or CvS2.

As in, it becomes the highest selling fighting game and makes it big into the e-sports scene and gives ridiculous payout? ( and has a nice story mode )

MK is still bringing in a decent tourney turnout. I fail to see the insult

It depends.

Is Bill Roper involved, in any way, shape, or form?

obviously its staged

Chris Hu says it will replace AE on Big Two right now. Chris Hu is truth, so I’m going to believe it. No Kappa.

fingers crossed this ends up like CvS2

And yet the majority still give no fucks about it.

If Chris Hu believes this game will be big who am I to argue? That man is the Illuminati.

My list from day one seeing this game as far as what is gonna be most popular in the states.

SFxTK
MVC3
SF4
SC5/KOF13 (until tekken tag drops)
MK9
everything else.

Lol all that matters is if the japanese take This game seriously. I wanna see the old school 3rd strike players like MOV and Kuruda hop on this
