WIll be in Tokyo May 14-19, where is there SF4 or ST comp?

YUP

Co-Sign on that watch out for the scumbag African “Hip hop” store owners too. They can barely speak english but are dressed up like Akon and shit, always trying to get you to go somewhere or enter their crappy store.

Basically think of it like the dudes in Mexico that try to sell you weed behind some building.

BTW I am going to be at Shibuya Sports today, from like 2-5 just to kill some time.

truth…these cats be chillin’ in Kabukicho, ROPPONGI and a couple be up in harajuku

First day I got here I was cool til about three in the morning…then I passed out for like 17 hours. ( X_x) I highly recommend grabbing a map before you bounce out from the Sunroute, I got mad lost in kabukicho the first night.

lol

I bet that was fun.

Yeah, it was pretty interesting. My main thought was “Why did this place get hella sketchy all of a sudden?”

Well… as sketchy as it gets in Japan anyways… which isn’t very.

Sex Cowboy, how far of a walk would you say Mikado is from the Sunroute hotel?

I also want to to visit some used game stores that have arcade PCBs…anyone have any ideas on those?

Mak Japan, G Front Akihabara.

yeah, pretty much. I’ll take japan sketchy over america sketchy any day of the week.

anyhoo, mikado isn’t too far of a walk…maybe like 10 minutes I guess? it’s not bad at all. hit up the mikado VIP room.

and mak japan is the shit. dude there is very nice.

Ok, if my plane is on time and I don’t pass out, I should be at SHibuya Sports Land Thursday evening…if not, I’ll post something on here since I know I have internet access in the hotel!

every game in club sega in shinjuku is 100 yen

it was by far the nicest arcade i went to when i was in tokyo tho

oh and sf4 comp is serious as fuck there
i played against daigo, csb and alot of other really good players for like 5 hours during the 3s 5v5 that was going on there sbo week

what’s up with all the smoking in tokyo arcade? don’t they know that shit is unhealthy.

I’m pretty sure I’d be better at fighting games if I started smoking and put on a suit, actually.

Yeah man, the cigarette straight burning in the ashtray until the opponent hits a combo, chillin with one leg crossed over the other in a suit and the canned coffee on the cab. That is the image I will always have of Japan.

Oh, and the goofy way women run in high heels trying to catch a train.

I’m not moving any faster but GOD DAMMIT I’m hustling.

does anyone know where are all those hot chicks in miniskirts going at the shinjuku kabukicho exit in the afternoon? there’s a constant stream of them but i was too lazy to stalk.

In Tokyo, every girl wears a miniskirt.

They are probably just going shopping and shit.

Sorry guys, with the biohazard crew on the plane confirming no one is sick entering the country, and the hotel “losing” my reservation, I did not even GET to my room until 9pm, so after a 27 hour day, I passed out after eating First Kitchen. I’ll be at Akihabara for a bit tomorrow, and try to figure out where the heck I am going to play SF in the evening possibly late tomorrow and Saturday or Sunday…

EDIT: Sorry double post!

Sup guys, I’ve just spent my first night in Tokyo, and I visited a few arcades in Shibuya and Ikebukuro to check out SF4. But I didn’t get to play against anyone unfortunately, more people were playing VFR and Tekken 6 it seems. I got challenged a few times “online” (link matches from somewhere else?) but the players weren’t that good. How do I do that anyway? Seems I can only choose between Arcade, Event, Trial, and something else I forgot.

Is there any daily place for good competition? I’ll go to Sports Land Shibuya on Thursday as suggested.

Also is there a way to access http://sf4.jp without having to use a Japanese cellphone?

Thanks!

Welcome to Japan! Land of overreacting!
