If I remember right, Nomura is the only remaining figure in Square-Enix that I adore. Sakaguchi and Uematsu are where it’s at for me. Having them back on a Nintendo console project is a personal faboys-wet-dream.

Xbox 360 Final Fantasy XIII Ignored in Japan - Wii News at IGN
apparently FFXIII international got released on 360 over there and didn’t make any impact. Monster Hunter and Dynasty Warriors topped the charts with Inzuma, DK, and Pokemon following behind it. A title that I’ve been expecting to see pop up at some point was Mario Kart DS but only the Wii counterpart has been hanging around.
Wii is still boosting from the holidays but no match for PSP. Hardware went PSP, Wii, DSi LL, Dsi, PS3, Lite, 360, PS2 and Go.

I saw this earlier on gaf and forgot to post it. Funny how this started out as a WiiWare game then later for 360 and PC as well before getting canned on Wiiware. I’m going to hold out before buying the game on XBLA until they decide whether they’re going to release a retail disc or not. I’d prefer not to play presise platformers with the 360 pad.

whats the name of that game with some guy holding a gun on one hand and a sword on the other, kinda similar in play style to space harrier… it was originally made on the gamecube, and the sequal/remake was due for release on the wii.

I’ve yet to encounter a Treasure game that is not worth purchasing. (Treasure made Sin & Punishment, and yes, it is worth getting.)
I personally thought Sin and Punishment was wildly overrated and I sometimes feel Treasure games get more hype than they deserve (Ikaruga). BUT I cannot deny that Treasure has made some amazing games. My personal favorite: Astroboy on GBA. I think they also made the SNES version of Tiny Toon Adventures, which was very solid.
Dr. B’s white and black halves both absorb all the bullets in the rainbow.
S&P2 is still one of my fave wii games, hell possibly even my fave on-rail shooter atm. Astro Boy is the best action game on the GBA hands down and probably one of Treasure’s best works. But yea I’ll agree Treasure is def. a bit overrated.
Maybe I just haven’t played their bad games yet. Both S&P, both Gunstar Heroes, Astro Boy, Radiant & Ikaruga, Bangai-O, Mischief Makers… all great games I played at least twice, but in most cases many many times more. They seem to have a great record considering their size and number of creations.
I’d like to hear your opinions on why you think Treasure’s overrated. Is there some totally crap games out there? Or do you just know people who assume because they’ve done so good they can do no wrong?

Treasure has put out some really fun games (BDS2nd, S&P 1/2, Gradius V, Alien Soldier, Astro Boy being my faves). That being said they’ve thrown some mediocre games out: GBA sequels for Gunstar and Guardian Heroes (really big letdowns for me, esp. Guardian heroes) , McDonalds game, stretch Panic, Light Crusader (eww) to name a few.
As for their well known popular titles like Gunstar and Ikaruga, I believe they are solid games but some people tend to treat them like their the holy grail of their genres.
