Hmm, I always thought Ocarina of time was based on impressionism, and now Miyamoto is saying that windward skies is based on impressionism, this is a very good sign for me. My hopes for the game are super high now.
Kirby’s Epic Yarn - Debut Gameplay
my gentle jesus…Seriously though who was the one who came up with this idea to make everything out of yarn? It’s so incredibly…cute
Kirby don’t suck anymore? will have to see more does look awesome though. Only thing that worries me in the new Zelda is the nunchuck that thing can be pretty lame sometimes.
LOZ: Skyward Sword - Floor Walkthrough
for those still worried about Miyamoto’s demo…watch this.
DK is back? SNAP! I soooo hope David Wise is doing music for this game!
Kirby has never looked so cute. Ever. Even the music seems cuter.
Hey, can someone help me with SMG2? I have 120 stars and am not sure what to do next. I saw a video of someone go back to world 1 and there were several more silhouettes of stars to get, but I don’t have that. My star list is full and there’s nowhere new to go. Also have 9999 star bits if that’s relevant at this point.
Anyway if this is the wrong thread ill delete my post. Didn’t see a galaxy 2 specific thread.
I think you have to beat the last Bowser level again after you get 120 stars might want to check gamefaqs or something for a faster response.
There is amario threadtoo…I haven’t gotten that far yet unfortunately since currently my plate of games tasks include Monstah Huntan, dragging people behind my horse and into cactus patches, and getting hit with a damaging combo after specifically telling them to come at me from any direction. I won’t be able to really get back into my gaming until E3 is completely done though…
this is sweet, thanks! I got SMG2 on launch date but had been playing more soulsilver and TvC: UAS lately, but once you get into SMG2, it’s a really killer game. I’m definitely enjoying it a lot, just got into the 3rd world/galaxy.
Wii Successor May Have 3D Support:
That picture of Iwata on the left is funny…it always makes me chuckle anytime I see it. Guess Nintendo is giving the thumbs up to the 3D stuff.
Damn, Nintendo is gonna be set with 2D platformers once Epic Yarn and DKC Returns drop. I thought the Golden Eye revival was a nice little fanservice move…hopefully it can retain some of the magic of the original and still improve on it. Other M is still looking sexy. I’m pretty hyped for Epic Mickey as well…watching the footage totally brought me back to my childhood days of playing sick ass Disney games on my SNES and Genesis.
How’re you guys feeling about Skyward Sword? I don’t mind the graphical style and I think the Motion Plus gameplay is gonna be great, but for some reason I’m not as hyped as I usually am for this Zelda. But I guess there’s still a lot more left to be revealed.
Sonichuman…you got some updating to do on that first post.
I bought some games off the VC tonight (about 68 dollars worth, I’m a sucker for nostalgia). I know you have emulators n shit like that, but playing the VC stuff on your TV is a really different experience. The classic controller is a really good controller as well, I thought it felt weird when I held it in my hand. Then I began to play and it felt so natural, like I played with the controller my entire life or something like that.
Emulators are cool and all, but I don’t regret buying stuff from the virtual console. Also, has anybody played Sin & Punishment? There’s a sequel coming out and it’s 1200 points (200 more than other N64 games), I want to know if it’s worth the 12 dollars to check out. I have 3200 points left.
Hold on man lol. I know I gotta update the first post but during E3 week most of the stuff I usually keep up with is put on immediate hold and 85% of my attention is on it. I might do a little bit tonight but most of it is going to occur in the coming days while I’m unwinding from all the stuff. I was hoping Nintendo was going to have a pretty good show this year but I wasn’t expecting them to bring it home like that. The thing people were saying here and on ‘the internet’ about Nintendo rope a doping Microsoft and Sony is funny but I don’t think that was their intention. That’s some serious prep time on someone’s part over at the company though if that was true lol…We’ll see if they can keep the hits rolling.
You don’t necessarily need to play the first Sin & Punishment to play the second one but I’d easily reccommend it myself. That game is nuts in some areas and the second game looks like it amps it up at least times 3.
Haha, yeah I’m not rushing you, take your time man. I was just saying that as a testament to how much new shit we have to look forward to now.
Sin & Punishment is a really quick game, but certainly a worthwhile one. Definitely one of my favorite N64 titles.
edit: and I’m really looking forward to #2!
The VC service was one of the primary reasons I bought a Wii. I have a lot of stuff on emus but as you said, playing that stuff on the TV just rocks.
As for Sin & Punishment, I’ve got it and I’ve only gone through some training but I always hear great things about it. So, I’d say it’s worth the 1200 Wii Points.
Here’s hoping DKCR will have David Wise on board with the music once more.
Kensuke Tanabe and the Metroid Palm Tree
interview with a couple of the guys from Retro where they talk about some of the stuff the processes and how they came to work on DKCR. I noticed they sort of dodged the question about K. Rool… I doubt he’s in the game because they said ‘no crocodiles’. Sounds like they’re really working hard on the game though…Can’t wait to see the finished product.
Shigeru Miyamoto Likes Donkey Kong Country After All (interview):
talks about various things including the vitality sensor, what he thinks about the competition, and Pikmin 3…sorta. Based off of Aonuma’s interview that they did I imagine Shiggy is starting to get annoyed with the Pikmin 3 questions…he probably wishes he hadn’t said anything lol.
O…MFG! new dk game looks amazing. probably gonna be as good as dk2 if not better.

Retro only does amazing things. The Metroid Prime Trilogy idea said enough.
