I think it has to do with the fac that they’re treating it as sort of a limited edition. I"m not entirely sure though if they sku has been cut off though…I’ll check on that tomorrow just out of curiosity.
Speaking of sku’s…LOZ entered in our comps a couple days back with a Nov. 1 date. Of course that’s not official or anything but it coincides with them trying to get this game released near the end of the year.
We’re also sold out of like 5 things from nintendo that we won’t get replenished on till near the end of the month…just a tad annoying.

I actually wouldn’t be surprised if the gap between PS3 and 360 was a bit wider than what they think it was. We still have 360’s but PS3’s are GONE save for 1 lowly 160gig uncharted bundle.

8.0 Kinda cool how this game used to be a GBA game, then DS and now it’s on Wii Ware. That pointer and save thing that were complained about sounds like an oversight on their part though. If one of you guys happens to try it out letknow how it is.

6.0 He was more mad at them for not changing anything period save for the gesture controls instead of using the microphone. So if you do buy it know that it’s pretty much a port.

IGN No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle hands-on
He’s played through the first 4 hours of the final game…but he doesn’t go out of his way to spoil anything which is nice. He talks about some of the mini games mostly and the BJ5 ( Oh my god…it sounds ridiculous lol). The first 54 minutes he spent in travis’ house and he’s only done 2 ranked battles so far. Everything sounds really good…Can’t wait!

Mad hyped for Tats vs. Cap and No More Heroes 2. Good lookin out on the info for Prime Trilogy being discontinued…I went ahead and got one of the last new copies at my local GS.
So the Wii is supposed to get Netflix streaming now…
Link to article:
Hmm I wonder how many will take advantage of this. Most people that would stream movies have at least another console I would think. Then again it might be good for parents trying to get their TVs back from their kids.
TVC Fightsticks came in…really happy I got a chance to reserve mine since we only got 2 in. Also they definitely did cut the sku off for Metroid Prime Trilogy…so the new copies that are floating around out there are it.
I also plan on picking up Sky Crawlers since I got a gift card that I haven’t used yet. I’ll have to wait until I get paid though but when I play it I’ll give impressions on it.
Dec NPD sales:

Jesus… nearly 4 million Wii’s? Hardware went Wii (3.81 mil), DS (3.3 Mil), PS3 (1.36 Mil), 360 (1.31 Mil), PSP (654.7K) and PS2 (333.2K)
NSMB beat COD on both 360 and PS3 combined for the month. Reggie might have to hold off on that order of Humble pie if this keeps up. Software went NSMB,Wii Fit Plus, Wii Sports Resort, COD:MW2 (360), COD: MW2 (PS3), Wii Play(Wiimote shortage FTW?), Mario Kart Wii, Ass Creed 2 (360), L4D2, and M&L:BIS.
December was a pretty awesome month for the industry period despite still being down. 2010 will probably stomp 2009 in the ground.

The KH hype train busted right through Nintendo’s house. FFXIII still holding it down in the top 10 along with the usual mix of Mario, Pokemon and Zelda. Phantasy Star Portable 2 also made it in the top 10 as well.
Hardware went PSP (which managed to sell more than both Wii and DSi’s combined), Wii, PS3, Dsi, Dsi LL, Ds Lite, 360, PS2, and Go. Man…poor Go…and I think shenanigans need to be called on Nintendo for having 4 different system skus that are all selling well.

Just dled Muscle March and did a quick play of it before going back to Majora’s Mask. This game is loltastic and pretty simple. I noticed that transitioning between certain poses there seems to be some slight difficulty in reading it but other wise it’s pretty good. This game makes no god damn sense and it doesn’t try to lol (Polar Bear in a speedo slips on a banana peel in midair…and an Alien steals the protein). I want to give it more play time later.
I commend you sir. I don’t think I have the balls to actually DL this game even though it looks pretty fun, haha.
Apparently there’s been a Fatal Frame IV fan translation in the works and it looks like it’s finished. Check it out:
http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/18/smile-fatal-frame-4-fan-translation-available/
^ I find the game pretty fun myself and oh man…When shit starting going really fast you have to not laugh at the people getting knocked out by stupid shit so you can pay attention. This game’s all about reaction and reflexes. I just got done playing a little bit more after my Majora Mask playing time and everything went into Overdrive suddenly while chasing this one guy in some blue spandex shit and I ran into 4 wall combo.
On some real shit though WHO is the one behind this game? Whoever it was that even suggested this game at the round table discussion must have served special brownies to everyone before throwing his pitch and been wasted off his ass in the process lol. If you’re hoping this game has something else other than matching up poses to go through the walls then you might be a bit disappointed…though personally the only complaint I have on it is the controls sometimes not reading what I want correctly…that may be human error on my part so I’m probably going to play it some more throughout the week to make sure.

Podcast stuff:
NBA Jam talk…mostly about what’s in the NP issue but they did mention they got some exclusive stuff coming.
One of the guys who’s been playiing through NMH2 is almost done with it. Says it’s about a 10 hour game. 7 ‘retro’ jobs. Often times when you play the game and there’s something that happens that relates to the first game they’ll break the 4th wall. They have some platforming sections for Shinobu and there was some complaints about the camera not working too well for those segments. Bozon should have his review up at the end of this week.
So I was a tad bit bored since this week seems to be ho hum on gaming news and decided to link vids to some of the titles on the front page…usually vids that exist that can give someone a good example of what to expect from the game. It’s not much but I’m sure it’ll help those who are new or happen to glance at something on the list and want a quick look at what the game is about.

Trauma Team - Endoscopy
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/endoscopy-walkthrough-trauma-team/61025
Opened up our shipping today and was pleasantly surprised at seeing that we got our copies of NMH2 and Tatsunoko in. Tuesday is going to be a bitch and a half since Mass Effect 2 and Mag are also releasing on that day. However since both NMH2 and Tatsu are Street Dated that means that they can also be sold on Mass Effect 2’s and Mag’s Midnight launch so if you happen to be around a GS you might be able to pick up either copy Monday Night. If I’m not working that night at my store I’m probably going to be the odd man picking up his arcade stick and Tatsu that night lol.
I know it’s also going to fall on some deaf ears but please support the people who are actually giving a shit about good games on this system and don’t download or pirate these titles. I’m mostly saying it because I’ve had to deal with customers talking to me about modded systems at work ( I WORK FOR FUCKING GAMESTOP YOU IDIOT! WHY ARE YOU TALKING TO ME ABOUT MOD CHIPS!? WHAT’S THAT!? YOUR 360 GOT BANNED? BOO FUCKING HOO!) and it just slightly annoys me.

They don’t have any plans currently (even though if enough fans pester and bug them they’ll probably do it but they’ll have to do it from the ground up) but he did say that if this game does well then they’ll work on more vs. titles. Who knows…maybe they can actually make that Disney vs. Capcom game that someone made a thread about a year ago lol.
IGN NMH2: Desperate Struggle review

8.8 Some minor complaints like not being able control the camera and that scorpion collecting game is back and it has framerate issues but the pros far outweight the bad. WARNING: If you wish to not be spoiled on a few things then don’t read or watch the review. Between the both of them there is probably about 3-4 spoils.

KH is blowing it up over there for the 2nd week. The only other software on the list that is NOT on a Nintendo platform is Tekken 6 for the PSP at #6. Other than that the usual suspects are on the list with a newcomer of RE: Darkside Chronicles at #3.
PSP is still the king of the mountain right now and actually has a pretty nice gap over the Wii. Hardware went PSP, Wii, PS3, DsiLL, Dsi, Lite, 360, PS2, and Go. Might be about time for Sony to start shoveling the grave for the Go.
IGN TVC: Ultimate All-Stars Review
9.0 Posting this is nigh completely unncessary to a fighting game forum…however there’s some things that Bozon mentions that are interesting. One of them being that he said both English and Japanese Audio tracks were included. To what extent though he doesn’t say but it’d be nice if they were actually able to include character themes. 2nd being that he mentions about some of his matches online having no lag and adding opponents you just fought without having to put in friend codes. Of course the lag is probably going to vary on personal connections but at least it sounds like it’s decent.
http://kotaku.com/5454192/the-lost-characters-of-tatsunoko-vs-capcom?skyline=true&s=i
If TvC sells enough copies, we could be seeing characters added via DLC. C’MON WII OWNERS!!!
Now my question is…why the hell won’t they do that for Smash Bros. or Mario Kart?
^ lots of people find kotaku not to be a reliable source so I’ll wait until another source picks up on the same info. DLC isn’t impossible for the Wii (Guitar Hero, Rock Band, etc) but I don’t think it’s the same process as 360 and PS3 where it feels like they release the game and then go ‘oh now let’s make some dlc’…Far as I can tell based on what I’ve seen they have to already be prepared ahead of time to release it but I’m not entirely sure of how it all works. Someone who’s actually in the industry may be able to provide more insight.
My take on why not Smash and Mario Kart is that those also came out before Guitar Hero 5 and the whole Wii menu update that allows you to dl onto an SD memory card as well as making the Wii accessible to the higher capacity SD cards. It’s also going to be up to the developer but if by some crazy ass miracle another smash is made before the Wii kicks the bucket (hiiiighly doubt it but hey…2 main 3d mario games this generation maybe another rare occurrence can happen?) I’d hope Nintendo would have DLC characters and stages. They gave access to that space…now lets see them use it.
Edit:
oh yeah forgot this
Zangeki No Reginleiv - Japanese Overview Trailer
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/japanese-overview-zangeki-no/61058
wow…this game is looking more interesting…something about the art style of this game annoys me though. I can’t put my finger on it.
See this is why I try to stay out of this thread…makes me spend too much money. I’m stoked about the dual voice tracks… thank you for saving me from having to buy this game twice Capcom.
I can not wait for Trauma Team, (I’m still getting NMH2 and TVC) but is New Blood still in print at all? I’ve been trying to find it for a few months, I know GS doesn’t have it in my district or online…
Also I did read somewhere that Luigi’s mansion has filed a new trademark for Luigi’s Mansion… of course this could be like those random wii horse add-ons that will never see the light of day. It could mean either a new adventure for the green one or at least a port… which I would welcome as I never played the first one. I’ll post the link when I find it again.
