One thing I notice right from the start is that they’re going to talk about something having to do with Miyamoto having some sort of roundtable in New York City…I can’t help but remember about an earlier rumor mentioned about a trailer for LOZ. I’m not gonna get my hopes up but you never know. I’ll edit this post as I’m listening to it as usual.
Nintendo is going to stop by their offices next week with the full version of New Super Mario Bros. When the guy played the single player earlier he tried to get Nintendo to talk about the ‘play it yourself’ option in the game and they refused for the time being. And the roundtable is actually for NSMB…it’ll be on Thurs. Awww…and he’s only going to be talking about that and NSMB and Wii Fit Plus.
Interesting…Nintendo is the only company that has a ‘game chaperone’ come and lock the game in.
They’re also coming by their offices with other games…Cave Story, Lost Winds 2, and another game that He’s not allowed to say because Nintendo hasn’t announced it yet.
Ok…it was actually Wii Play that’s actually in the no.1 spot and not Wii Sports.
Matt says A Boy and His Blob is still a good game…he just had issues with some things with it.
oh ho boy…Matt played Ju-On and said they have a candidate for worst controls of the year. The game is extremely dark and hard to see. He comments that it is in fact quite scary though. Use the wii mote to point in the direction you want to go and you hold the b button to walk…or ‘crawl’ as Matt put it. Wow…he said when you try to turn it makes Red Steel’s controls feel superb…ouch.
Went into an interesting spout about Scribblenauts after they got some readermail complaining about their second take on the game.

6.4 Says it’s better than the first but that’s not saying much. Even with WMP they decided to go back to some waggle moments and again the Dream Events where they aren’t completely tied down to the actual sports and throw in some antics are the star of the game again. Bozon from IGN is supposed to have his review up this week as well so I want to see how his words compare. In any case…I’d say stop making the olympic games altogether and do ‘THAT’…Nintendo and Sega should already know what ‘THAT’ is.

6.5 pretty close to what AU guy said…dream events are better and the game is just lacking. good for casual and apparently curling might be the best sport on there.

Just got A Boy and His Blob and NMH ( I know about time). Havent touched NHM but im liking A Boy and his Blob. Cant wait to see the harder puzzles.
New Pokemon Game for Wii:
before you even click that link…It’s not really any of the handheld games put on the home console. It sounds like a mini game fest but I figured pokemon fans should at least know about it. It comes out Dec. 5 in japan.

We’ve only gotten 2 copies of that game(A Boy and His Blob) in our store and someone had actually reserved it. I’m hoping the game does ok at least.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii Super Guide Revealed
This button only comes up if you’ve failed a level 9 times in a row and I’m assuming it only occurs per level and isn’t something that you have access to 24/7 unless you’ve failed the stage that many times. From what’s been described it’s actually not bad at all considering it won’t show you secrets and there’s an icon that shows if you’re able to beat the game without using that mode at all. I’m now going to call this button the ‘YOU SUCK!’ button.

This “Super Skills” clip is the best showcase of this game’s gameplay to date. I must say, I was not going to get this game out of extreme disappointment about it not being online. I still sigh a bit when the multiplayer elements are shown off, knowing I’ll likely not be able to take advantage of it. Still, this looks like it will have a fantastic single player mode, and I’m sold on it.
That looked fuckin awesome. It’s going to be great seeing people post up videos of 4 players breaking stages.
Miyamoto on the New Mario:
he talks for a short second about wii fit and then dives right into New Super Mario Bros. Wii explaining some of the processes behind it as well as a Q&A at the end. He preptimed any LOZ questions at the start by saying he wasn’t gonna say anything on it. Vids like the one Jwillenium just posted will be unlockable as you progress through game and reach certain goals.

Denise pretty much confirms what I figured they were going to do with the Nintendo show…It could possibly have some exclusive game announcements and also she teases that you may want to keep looking to the Nintendo Channel for some announcement in the future.
Japan Numbers:
There’s only 2 titles on the software list that aren’t on a nintendo platform and they both belonged to the PSP (Gran Turismo and Macross Ultimate Frontier). Pokemon and Wii Fit Plus are blowing it up at the top.
Hardware side of things all the systems apparently had a slowdown…that didn’t stop DSi from rolling over everything else. Everything goes as follows: Dsi, Psp, PS3, Wii, DS Lite, 360, PS2. Most notable though is that last time the numbers came up PS3 was over the Wii by about a thousand IIRC, now they are basically neck and neck with PS3 edging out by a couple of hundred.

yyyup…mario kart. Pretty sweet that you get to snowboard on Radical Highway from SA2 and I’m a bit interested in this games soundtrack. Too bad you can’t just play these games right from the start.

Um… did I miss something? When the heck did spyborgs drop to 20 bucks at Gamestop? I thought the reviews of it were pretty decent?
a good portion of reviewers were actually pretty ‘meh’ about the game. I haven’t heard anything from any customers either about the game either. Rexx said he was going to pick it up at some point…so I want to know what his opinion on it is.
