Wii Thread 4.0, WEEUWEEUWEEUWEE!

My guess is that it’s just another sensor/infrared emitter, which allows the Wii to track both the front and back ends of the Wii Remote and better determine its orientation relative to the sensor bar.

Wii motion plus is a little tech piece that hooks up to the bottom of your wiimote (it has a plug on the bottom of it so you can still use nunchuk, classic or whatever else with it) and basically ‘fixes’ the wii mote. From what I remember it’s basically an extra sensor that boosts the strength of the accelerometer and the sensor bar and makes the wii mote more sensitive and precise than it already is…basically making 1 to 1 motion a reality. For Example, in Red Steel you could only slash up to down, diagonally left or right and maybe a bit further to for a side ways slash. When you did the motion for that slash it wasn’t truly 1 to 1 because you did the slash and there was a set animation for the corresponding slash. Now with the Wii motion plus it’s possible to do those slashs completely in real time. A good example how this tech could work well with swords will be in Wii Sports Resort.

E3 2008 Wii Sports Resort - Sword Play Cam Gameplay Demo

that’s what they had to show last year. and then there’s the tiger woods disc golf video I put up earlier.

Edit:

Looked it up really quick and edited my post to make sure. and I remember someone asking if Nintendo was looking into making it a permanent part of the Wii-mote and apparently the Wiki says they had a roundtable discussion on it and they’re looking into it. So it’s not far fetched actually.

yyyup…completely ridiculous lol. It’s like Katamari almost…but with Rabbids and you’re not rolling things into a ball…you’re putting them in a shopping kart.

Gladiator A.D. - No Mercy Trailer:

hmmm…not exactly what I was expecting hopefully they’ll show more of this during E3. Looks good though.

I’m not sure if I’m reading this correctly…IGN mentioned in an article for Naruto Ninja Destiny II that the new clash of Ninja game that’s coming out is going to have online. If this is true I’m wondering how far into the online are we talking about? all 4 people? just 1-1? How’s the lag?

Edit:

There’s also another podcast up…I won’t be able to listen to it now…cause I have work early in the morning…but I’ll get to it when I can and make the list of ‘Must-Haves’ tomorrow.

Sonichuman, how do you keep up this pace with the wii news. do you sleep? take a nap at least, I’m sure your cybernetic implants would appreciate the downtime.

uh…I sleep and I work…infact today there’s going to be wide chunk when I’m nowhere near the comp today lol. And I’m trying to keep up with everything that I can…I just happen to be the guy that posts the most on wii news and gaming news in general. I was doing this stuff before I worked at gamestop lol. I just like trying to be as well informed on stuff as possible.

Rumor: Ubisoft publishing No More Heroes 2.

Makes sense, they published the first one… but the important part is that if they are, they should be showing something for it at E3, as well.

Fragile coming to America:

Freaking sweet.

Having played Excitebots enough to unlock the alternate costume for every character, here is my tier list if anyone is interested.

Excitebots: Trick Racing Tiers
S+:
Hummingbird - While not technically good enough to be called “God Tier” as other characters can compete, Hummingbird does still have a marked advantage over everyone else.

Top:
Lizard, Mouse, Scorpion, Roach

High:
Bat, Spider, Hornet, Lobster, Grasshopper

Mid:
Boulder, Frog, Beetle, Ladybug, Centipede, Ant - Boulder and Frog are identical in terms of stats.

Low:
Turtle, Squid, Crab

Bottom:
Mantis

BTW, this game is also more than worthy of being in every Wii owner’s library.

Only game I’m REALLY looking forward to on the Wii at the moment is Monster Hunter 3

Pumped for this, NMH was awesome

Also, just bought the new Punch-Out!!
 <-Me

Dead Space Extraction releases September 29.

Fragile!! I’m so happy now!!!

Fragile is one of the 3 reasons I bought my Wii, with the other two being No More Heroes and Fatal Frame.

I’m still hella depressed Fatal Frame is like something nobody knows anything about… if no news comes after E3 then I’m jus gonna bust the gecko OS and buy the import.

I’m really excited for Fragile; it’s one of the very few games I am going to purchase in the next year. It looks very original.

That’s my birthday…how appropriate.

so is ff4 the after years still coming out on june 1st?

wooo!..this is Hotness. I was afraid for this game for a moment too but it looks like Xseed is picking up titles to publish over here left and right. Go them! Hopefully they’ll be able to bring extra content, the japanese and english audio. I wasn’t expecting them to try to release it this year either. I’ll put it up on the list in the first post.

Edit:

That’s also crazy that fans once again managed to get a developer to bring something over here. Next post I’m going to make is going to be me doing my usual thing.

There’s info on Silent Hill: Shattered Memories on IGN. Goddamn, that looks awesome.
