Been playing xenoblade chronicles last night and now and I’m really enjoying it. I’ve played like 3 or so hours so far and getting used to the battle system. Game actually looks pretty decent on my HDTV. Being able to change time to whatever is probably a good idea for a game like this.
Wow at the beginning of this game…I’d of thought something like this would have happened a bit later in the story.

Controller is rumored at $50. $300-400 was pretty much the range I was expecting it to be at.

Wish I had a better setup in my room to play it on too. The main reason I haven’t finished Skyward Sword is because I don’t have ample room in my bedroom to play :T
You don’t really need that much room to play Skyward Sword to be honest. It’s just a matter of making sure you don’t have anyone around you while you’re playing it. You need to make the gestures in Skyward Sword but the thing about it is not really needing to swing in wide arcs or anything…it’s just that you have to actually mean your strikes if you get what I’m saying.
I’m sitting in my parents house right now WISHING I had Xenoblade Chronicles on me. I just got the Monado and the mechanic that comes with it while heading to Colony 6. Monolith did such a good job with what they had for this game. I’m already kind of hoping they’re working on some sort of sequal for this game for WiiU.

I want a new Metroid I hope one comes out close to the wii u launch since MP3 was pretty close to the wii’s launch if I remember right. I think Metroid and Pikmin could really do some cool stuff with the tablet.

I can’t say much, but Nintendo does some shady shit when it comes to 3rd party releases. So I’m not surprised.
Yeah it’s a part of their legacy unfortunately and it’s something that if they’re serious about getting third parties on board they’re going to have to face it and actually learn from it. This is also another reason why I said before in another thread that they needed another company in the handheld space to keep themselves in check.
This guy was seriously upset and I can’t blame him. That could have been a nice game to have on the system.
Nintendo Power is claiming they have some cover story for their next issue for generations.

‘not a fat chance’ says the dev. If you want to see the interview in question it’s here at 5:22. He doesn’t really go into detail as to why so it could be anything from WiiU not actually being powerful enough to them being under time constraints or even they just don’t think there is an audience.

Also in case you didn’t watch the Japanese Nintendo Direct that occured a couple of days ago. There will be a Wii compilation disc over kirby games that will get released this year in celebration of Kirby’s 25th.

Interesting…I know he’s probably gotta be feeling a ton of pressure too. Regardless of how you feel about Brawl as a fighting game/party game whatever what have you, that game had a ton of shit in it. Considering the fact that I’m fully expecting Sony to be doing a full blow out of it’s own smash brothers game that’s been rumored for weeks it’d be nice if they had at least a trailer of the game by E3. I’d be amazing if he was able to pull it off…it doesn’t even really have to give a way any plans he has for the game either. It could just showcase what the characters would look like in HD on the system.
He’ll probably make it more directed towards “Console gaming that you can take with you on the road”.

3DS prevented them from losing more since they’re completely destroying the Vita right now.
Well, that was expected. 2011 was a very slow year for Nintendo for the most part. Not a lot of AAA titles and such.
Investor meeting from Nintendo was mostly Wii U focused
They WON’T have pricing set at E3 and and a firm date still won’t be available at the conference…Slightly annoying but I suppose thinking about what they’re doing in terms of telling us now not to expect it instead of being disappointed at E3. They’re going to have Digital and Retail copies of games available at launch. Again they’re also saying that they’ve learned a lesson from 3DS and making sure that the system has good launch titles…which I suppose would fall in line with what this guy said. They also want something similiar to Wii sports for Wii U and are also taking a look at social games.
There’s been such a shotgun spread of things said over this new console that I’m just cautiously optimistic right now lol but at least Nintendo seems to be stepping it’s internet game up.
Hopefully Nintendo hits the ground running…I read that they posted their first annual loss.
