I’d love to man, but I need someone to buy my Hot Rod first.
I wonder what the internals are going to be. When I heard about GGAC for the Wii I wanted to find a converter to let my HRAP play on there. I hope it will be mod friendly, just like Mikei said it looks just like a small HRAP.
Well, do as you like, but I recommend you to keep it at least this year. Nintendo will show and sell their biggests franchises this 2007. MP3, smash, mario galaxy, and some decent third party titles. Plus VC neo-geo (I love garou).
It looks nice. When I get my Wii I’ll definetly grab me one.
But the important ones that pertain to the stick do: fighters. I know all SF games have button conifg and so does Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct. As long as fighters have button configs, the stick’s button layout argument is moot.
And like someone else said, the config according to the picture is:
X Y L (ZL)
B A R (ZR)
Probably the only ones I have concern for are the upcoming NeoGeo games. But, as long as they keep the classic controller’s layout in mind AND add button layout to their ROMS, i dont thinkt it should be a problem.
You have X and Y reversed on your layout. It should be:
Y X L ZL

Oops. you’re right. It is backwards, so, it supposed to be like this:
Y X L (ZL)
B A R (ZR)
Is it wireless ;O?
There are like a dozen modchips out – WiiKey is what I’m planning on getting. RE4 is great btw even if you played it before. The Big Three will be nice this fall, those alone are worth having a Wii for.
Yeah, I’m really wondering if this will be wireless or use the GC port or what.
None of the current mod chips have 100% compatibility, and I know for a fact that they don’t work with Hajime no Ippo game. Also, I have heard Naruto does not work either on current mod chips.

There aren’t any controls for power, nor status LEDs to show which player you are, so I’m sure it’ll be wired somehow. Since the buttons (LZ and RZ) match the classic controller and not a gamecube, Im betting it’ll plug into a wiimote just like a classic controller.
I think what he meant is that is it non-wiimote wireless? IMO, for fighters, I’d rather have the stick directly plugged into the console as opposed to it being wireless. Wireless connections are not 100%. I notice sometimes with any of the current gen wireless pads that the signal drops for like a split second. You CANNOT have that in a fighting game.
Is the Wii’s hardware even powerful enough to support DR,VF5,or T6?
Yeah…that’s a pretty unmanly looking joystick. Long as it works I guess. Definitely something you can’t buy without investing in modding it. Just like most other Hori sticks.
Of course. Though Not in HD, and possibly not a pretty/smooth as the XB360/PS3 versions.
What converter are you using? I ordered a single controller Innovation PS2>GCN, and it doesn’t accept my HRAP or my SFA stick.
EDIT: And yeah, I think it’s pretty hot. I’ll get one most likely.
PA sent my Wii Fighting Stick today.
^get some pictures of the insides and your review once it comes in. I am really looking at getting one of these but I want to see how easily it can be modded and what all is in there stock. I’m going to assume the parts are the same as the PS3 Fighting Stick but I like the way this one looks a lot more and I’d like a stick for the Wii that isn’t going through a converter.
