Sorry I didn’t see your post until just now. I wouldn’t have been able to last night anyways, unfortunately. Had a BBQ/birthday party going on at my place (some SF4 playing going on, but most (read: all) of my friends are scrubs).
But hey I’m very interested in hanging any other time you guys play. And that goes the other way too. I’ll host some sessions as well if you guys are interested.
Hey Megamanny, I live right up the road from you. I’m by Rock and Lincoln. You should come through sometime and get some practice in
Awesome, I’ll make sure to keep that in mind. What system do you play on by the way? It seems I got the short end of the stick and since I bought a PS3 many moons ago, all the cool people have 360s hahaha.
I wonder if there are MAS sticks for the 360, I have one for my ps3 and I’m absolutely in love with it.
I play on the PS3 as well. I’ll add you, our latency should be great. I recently (3 weeks ago) acquired an SE stick for the PS3. I’m finally getting used to playing with arcade sticks again.
Awesome, if you manage to get this message, check back on the PSN in about an hour or two as once I’m done studying, I’ll probably be just idle waiting to see if I come across you online. What do you mainly play? I prefer HDR over SF4 but I’m sure I can hold my own.
I’m still eagerly awaiting MvC2 but that seems years away even though it’s just next month hahaha.
Aww shoot. I didn’t see that last message of yours until now. I ended up getting quite busy with work yesterday; my apologies.
I don’t have HDR actually. I have the MvC2 demo and messed around with that a bit (game is gonna be fun). But ya, my main thing right now is SF4 (I’m also a long time Tekken player, so if you have T5:DR we can bust that out as well).
By the way, did you get my friends list message yet?
I’m starting to focus more on KoF and other games now. Street Fighter is starting to pan its way out for me…it’s kind of hard to keep justifying playing it when I don’t actually own the game.
I was told earlier this week from Andy that there’s going to be a fighting game tourney on the 7th of August here. They needed tournament organizers, so I was asked to help volunteer with Street Fighter 4 and a few other games.
The venue’s called Chronicles: The Convergence (weird name if you ask me) and it’s mostly about anime and gaming culture. Funny thing is that it’s the week before Wichita’s annual Midwest Anime Fest, but thats beside the point.
Possible list of games include:
-Tekken (5 DR or 6? not sure which one)
-Street Fighter 4
-Blazblue
-King of Fighters XII
-Smash Brothers Brawl
-various other games (if time allowed)
I’m guessing they want to fit in all the new titles coming this year. Anyone interested in going / helping out? You can check out their website here, but it’s kinda light on info.
There’s also a tourney for locals in June iirc, and they’re doing SF4, Tekken, SC4 for certain.
Okay, I talked to the guy running the local tournament here and I have a few changes to make:
[]The tourney is in July on the 25th, not June (as once thought).
[]It’s no longer local, and anyone from anywhere can enter.

$5 dollar entry fee for all games.
Offical game listing is:
[]Tekken 5: DR
[]Soul Calibur 4
[]Street Fighter 4
[]Marvel vs Capcom 2
Sign ups start at 11 a.m., and the venue is open until 6 p.m. or later, as needed.
It’s at the Northrock 14 (upper level)
3151 Penstemon St
Wichita, KS 67226-3904
(316) 630-8222
Flyers are already out, so I’ll have to get my hands on one
This will be the first local BlazBlue tournament as well. Peter? Darnell? You guys coming? Bring down all the hungry players. I’d love to get a TDR side tournament going if we get enough interest.
