After No Koast, I think a lot of the Brawl guys are done with that game. I only played the game for fun, but the guys who played seriously weren’t ready for the cheap crap that was waiting for them at high level play. Brawl high level play is just UGLY.
A lot of them are now interested in branching off to Tekken, Blazblue Street Fighter and Melty Blood. Come over today and help school this fresh new class in fighting games.

I’d rather not put my brain through a complex mathematical equation, can lose track pretty easily.
Because Brawl isn’t like most traditional fighters, there’s a lot you can get a way with that wouldn’t fly in other fighting games.
There’s too many infinites and combos that go from 0 to death, balance is an issue (we’re talking some characters have 90 to 10 percent matchups here), the stages can drastically change a match-up, etc.
Somebody at No Koast literally damaged his opponent to 13 damage within the first couple of seconds and spent the rest of the match (EIGHT MINUTES) dropping up and down off the ledge to time his opponent out. I got there around the 2 minute mark and saw Metaknight at probably 4 damage and Falco at 13 damage.

Damn that sucks. I didn’t even know Brawl was like that. I thought stalling was against the rules for that tourney? Isn’t hanging from the ledge for 6 minutes and running like stalling? Or am is my smash terminology all fucked up :[
