Akuma, and Remy are the TOD champions. And lol @ anyone who says kara karakusa is impossible to not get caught by.
Makotos 100% is very overrated. Many Makoto players don’t even pick sa2 against Gouki (who is super vulnerable to it) because, while the pay off is huge, it requires a pretty specific setup against a very mobile character.
You don’t even need to use the double fukiage against Akuma. Super to single fukiage super jump heavy attack follow up and he’s stunned.
It only works on certain parts of the screen (both Makoto and the opponent have to be at the edge of the tv screen) and Makoto has trouble solidly placing herself in any spot of the screen to begin with. Plus the timing for the 100 percent is tight and I’ve seen plenty of times where people drop the hardest part with the kara fukiage to even dropping the simple link part at the beginning. It’s not like it’s some Wolverine turn on XF1 anywhere on the screen shit. It’s amazing that hasn’t been banned yet. LOL.
does “t” stand for “touched”?
Paging Denjizz.
Hey, most of the comments above are saying “no” b/c most of these people have either tried it or have seen it fail first hand enough times. Here’s my challenge to you. GO TO TRAINING MODE AND TRY TO 100% THE CAST. You’ll get two almost every time: Remy & Gouki. The rest will happen only after months of practice. At least 5, you’ll never 100% b/c you can’t. OK. So after you’ve failed at the combo enough to get it at least 1 out of 3 in training mode, go to the nearest arcade or (if you dare) GGPO and try to land it on someone. Good luck.
You’ll find out through first hand experience that Makoto’s “broken 100% combo” is the least thing you have to worry about in 3S.
- 100% works only with certain characters AND you need 2 full meters to (usually) trually get 100%
- The meter requirement means you’ll probably only get in 1 round. Sorry, but most games are 2 out of 3 rounds to win
- You’ll find better use for her meter
- You’ll discover it’s too hard/inconsistent to try it every time
- You’ll discover Chun’s back fierce, shotos mashing cr. short, among a bunch of other things
NOW, ask yourself why people aren’t banning MvC3’s X-factor which gives the entire cast 100% combos. I never understood game designers idea of purposely creating a mechanism for 100% kills when most people’s complaints about the prequels were “infinites” which were 100% kills. Personally, I’d rather the infinite combos b/c they require way more skill.
that poor yun :C
makotos 100% isnt what makes her good.
close thread.
It’s her big ass feet!
Dim Makoto should have been the name of this thread.
Stands for GG, it’s a silent T.
because it’s completely avoidable…
Soooo. Abraxas is Louis right? Since he didn’t post here and it’s a new account.
Nah. It’s me, Dander, and Roshihikari!!.
Because “its mahvel baby” somehow gives it a free pass to be braindead and allowed and OMGSUPERAWESOME
That’s exactly why. It’s a silly game for silly people. Why not make it ridiculous. Ridiculous and easy 100% can still be FUN.
because not everyone and their mother knows how to execute this properly 100% of the time, just think of it as another big combo like chun’s back feirce into SA2, that does a LOT of damage and if you get mixed up into another SA2 you’re practically dead, but again not EVERYONE can execute this every single time, its not as easy as the name sounds (touch of death is more like saying dont fuck up the combo), and at the same time asking for a combo finisher to be banned is ridiculous, its like why even play the game if you cant even complete a combo
I want to nerd rage so badly now, but I’ll restrain.
Basically this was a era before people complained about everything and companies patched everything in response.
It’s nice but it’s not game breaking.
I’m actually serpent and Pryde. I used to be million but I passed that account to someone else.
