What kind of parts do they play on in HK? Sanwa? Seimitsu? Knock Off?
agreed…
I started out playing Street Fighter II HD Remix . . . then I moved to Street Fighter III Third Strike, then I played Street Fighter IV for a bit . . . then I moved back to Third Strike. All of this happened just within the last year.
It’s not that I hate Street Fighter IV, but Third Strike is just so much more fun, despite the fact that I get beaten the hardest in that game. I want to be able to do some of the stuff I see in Youtube videos of this game.
If parries weren’t in this game I’d be doing a lot better, but I’m willing to learn. Any advice? I suck at them.
just plaaaaaaaay evrydaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay thats all i gotta saaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayy sf4 is gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay sean pawa all daaaay
Learn to block well first. Seriously. It sounds boring but you will do a lot better.
Take pics of your smiley face when you get used to parrying everyone you play
I think people forget that a lot of the top OGs hated 3S and only played it because it was the biggest game at the moment.
I think if Capcom released an arcade version of third on xbl live then it would be in an widely available format that a lot of old and new players can easily access. Street Fighter really sells well still. The Hyper Fighting version and HDR for xbl made a lot of money. Of course SF4 made a lot of money.
I doubt however that it won’t be release in the near future because Capcom does not want to draw the consumer away from Super 4. And if you think about it third is the anti 4. Capcom’s marketing strategy is focused on SF4. When they released hyper fighting they were shocked on how many ppl bought it. They were hesitant to release HDR because it resembled Hyper Fighting too much but released it anyway because it was a good marketing tool to warm players up for SF4. That strategy was successful. And now Capcom is riding the $F4 wave by releasing SSF4 for $30.
I believe that releasing third is not in the cards for Capcom right now. By trying to release third, capcom would have to invest in it while at the same time compete with the release of SSF4. Not good business sense.
As for arcade availability, Third is cursed in a way because unlike Marvel which runs on suicide battery free Naomi, it runs on suicide battery CPS-3. So arcades that did have third (like Gameworks in Las Vegas which had a decent scene), no longer have it because the suicide battery probably went out and there is no way in the states to fix it.
So for all of you who still love third like I do and for those of you who want to get into this excellent game, the best bet is the PS anniversary. This is probably the best way to keep the game alive because a great game like this should never die.
