It’s just not cool or popular anymore to have any sort of pride in being a “manly” man. The modern man has gone from being a Schwarzeneggar/Stallone to a Michael Cera…and many of them actually look that way for real. The funny/sad thing is that many are seemingly in denial of this…or they’re deeply ashamed and so they lash out in defense of their half-a-man sissified ways…as if anything and everything can be “manly” simply because they say so, like “So what I’m wearing a pink sundress and high-heels today…? women can do, in theory, everything a man can do outside of physical labor. and even physical labor will one day become obsolete due to advances in technology.

i believe in america more women are graduating college than men now, which will result in the end for some kind of new family dynamic in the near future, as this may imply women bringing home more money than the man and being more educated on matters.

the “father knows best” man of the past eras has resulted in many problems for many people and we as a species dont quite know yet where to go next yet.

all this leading to “masculinity” being more “barbaric” because really whats the point now? there are no tigers or lions going about trying eat us, the world is pretty peaceful in advance countries, and being a “tough guy” creates more problems than it solves.

edit: on this topic, 2 things. one, I think labeling a man alpha or beta is dumb; all human males have someone they dominate and submit to. second, people don’t even understand what alpha is. alpha is a title reserved for animals. you can change it so that it applies to humans, but it doesn’t work the same. in humans, an alpha isn’t just a loud ass leader (neither are they that in the animal kingdom). he’s not some dude who looks and acts hard always wanting to fight people. an alpha is just someone that handles shit and KNOWS he can handle shit. they’re competent.
