It looks pretty fun but I want your opinions on why I should get it. I’ve heard that all the characters are unique which sounds good but what else?
Because Toshimichi Mori hungers for more people to squeeze money from?
I’m still playing Calamity Trigger and waiting for the allmighty balance patch which hopefully will come some day, perhaps enabling me to enjoy the game. CS has crappy character balance, but if you play a high tier you can still enjoy it.
OK: stopping the cynical stuff. It’s a cool game (I think) because of the juggle possibilitie in air, relatively quick gameplay and extravert characters and moves. Or at least, those are the things I personally enjoy the most. If you’d asked about CT, I’d also have mentioned the well-balanced characters.
I feel it’s a little obvious but if you’ve played Guilty Gear, then Blazblue is like a mirror of that but it appeals to the newer (younger) generation of fighting gamers. The learning curve is not significantly high and they even have in-game tutorials to help you learn or have never played any sort of fighting game before. The story is sub-par but to me still quite interesting (and kinda funny at times). To play at a competitive level, it takes a lot of practice, however, and as Son of a Gun mentioned, people tier whore the S Tier characters in CS online (Bang and Boobie Lady errr…Litchi). Still, I think it’s a good fighting game and has a decent fanbase. I’ve been playing a lot of it recently only cause it’s a good break from SSF4 and MvC 3.
Should be relatively cheap now I think. hope that helped.
Right now top tier rules all, but the BBCS2 balance patch is coming soon, probably the same time Platinum gets released. When that happens, the character balance in BBCS2 is apparently FANTASTIC and everyone is more than viable.
Anyways, I personally love the game because of the pacing, the animation style, over the top moves/combos, and the fact that EVERY character is unique (even Mu/Lambda). There’s no shoto/charge character equivalent in this game, you actually have to speak of characters by name, can’t just talk about an archetype.
you’re playing the original version of the game and hoping for a balance patch? get with the times. and for someone thats talking about balance issues, you’re playing CT rachel, she was by far considered broken in CT.
I didn’t even notice that he played Rachel, well spotted sir, that’s laughable.
So in other words he doesn’t play CS because his character is one of the like, 2 or 3 that aren’t viable in CS, and he’s waiting for the CS2 patch because she’s top tier again there.
Rushdown, baby.
