Rick’s infinite is total bullshit. I know plenty of people that are totally awesome with Rick and don’t even bother with his infinite, either because it’s total bullshit or just totally impossible for them to pull off. Yeah, it’s crap. I’ve never met anyone that can pull it off consistently.
Has for Geese’s b.B >> Rashomon, a simple Jump or Line Shift is all it takes to avoid it and punish Geese. Course, you gotta anticipate that shit coming first.
Well yeah but he can also do that to Ragin Storm if you jump/Line Shift, or reppuken, or Double or Counter in case you neutral jump Attack etc…so its always a gamble.
And the back+b by itself has a lot of priority in contrast to NGBC where it has little priority.
Every move in RB2 is a gamble. It’s pretty much either hit or miss, but then I guess that’s what makes it so damn fun to play.
Anyways, Dark Geese, do you play RB2 online at all? You have some great knowledge of the FF series in general that interests me, I’d bet you would make for a great (evil) opponent to fight.
Man I am still trying to get situated with the online stuff…I gotta get a much much faster CPU before I can do this…dont worry the time is coming soon, in the meantime Hokage you live in NY correct?
Did you hear about NEC7?? I was there man up North. In case you didnt Final Round X is coming too…you should try to make that I am having a little SNK convention there that I am sure RB2 or anything SNK you will find some competition to I assure you!!
I live out in the Boondocks of Upstate NY, there is nothing around here. There is no chance I could make it to any of these sort of events with my current car/paycheck situation. If I managed to score a upgrade and promotion though, I probably could. I’ve been longing for the day where I can have matches with people that aren’t on my buddy list.
Plus nobody likes losing because of lag, or in my case, OVAHEET! My laptop likes to overheat while playing games for long peroids of time.
I don’t lag (too much), I just blame it on GodWeapon’s overcrowded server. I wish The X-Team would return, I could go at four player RB2 with minimal lag.
Anyways, back on top topic, didn’t Bob have an infinite? I can’t quite remember, but I know I’ve seen one before.
Bob does have an infinite in Rb2 and its rather easy…it revolves around his Head Twirl…I got it I gotta look it back up but yes Bob Wilson does have an infinite…I did it rather frequently.
That’s Fatal Fury Special and Art of Fighting(1 and 2), dude.
To me, it’s just preference. I love MotW and I think RB2 feint works real well, so I prefer RB2 over RBS. Either one is better than RB1 IMO, just because I don’t have to deal with Kim and Franco’s garbages… they can juggle repeateadly until ringout.
In regards to Rick’s inf. I can assure u a little at least that in EVERY Rick match I DLed I have NEVER seen the inf. being used!
I guess it’s cuz the players wanna be fair or such which is a good thing.
SNK should consider making an ‘update’ to RB2, similar to KoF 98 UM, which includes a juggle limit AND damage scaling…in addition to a playable Alfred & Lao.
Sorry scrub question, what system are all of these SNK games (collections) coming out for? I’m assuming PS2, does anyone know if any of the newer systems will be getting the collections?
Most of them are for JPN PS2, but there are a few PAL versions of each as well. Also, since the PS3 is region free for PS3 games only you can’t get them to work that way either.
I prefer RBS over RB2 anyday. My only time playing RB2 was against a guy I know and he played with Rick and I played with Terry. He raped me the first round and I just had to rape him the next two rounds. But it was something about the play of the game I didn’t like. RBS seem to flow like water to me and it was a huge upgrade from RB1.
Exactly, I can’t explain it but RBS I can actually enjoy playing the AI just because the system seems so fun. I made the thread mainly because I was curious about possible balance issues from RBS to RB2, but at the end of the day RBS just seems to win in the fun category at least.
