You’re North American and Easterner !! Let’s Rocks!
Dude, people don’t always pick their games. I kill time in arcade mode and let the internets find a game for me. Sometimes, I get a 1 red, but it wasn’t my choice.
What everyone else says, < 3 bars is pointless playing. The funny thing is the hate mail I sometimes get for kicking 0-2 bar people… there really are some retards out there :/.
That’s fight request, someone with 1 bar has chosen to join you.
Can I just clarify, just how much lag/delay are people actually getting with one-bar connections? Like I said, I get one-bar connections a LOT thanks to my location, but usually I hardly notice any delay or lag, maybe a few milliseconds, if that.
I’m in a similar boat as of late. I had some really laggy 3 bar matches, so I decided to only accept 4 bar connections for the day. Then that one was laggy, too. So I was like, “Well shit, how am I gonna get a 5 bar connection?” My very next challenge was a five bar connection (and a DAN!!) and the match was still laggy.
I know having a 3-5 bar connection is usually a good bet for not having a laggy match. I’ll still kick anything below 3 bars. But sometimes, it just doesn’t matter what you do… You still miss c.short, c.jab and look like a flowchart when that random shoryu comes out.
Not at all bad. 5 and 4 bar usually run fine and are common enough to find or be found. 3 is usually somewhat okay, though the match may skip or start to drag at some points. There’s a Fei Long player who I always run into, and he’s always at 3 bars but we can have a decent match.
Except number of bars is just an estimation of proximity … It doesn’t really dictate how well a match will play. That being said, all factors being equal proximity can make the difference.
But yeah, Japan/Korea have really good Internet speeds for some reason. I saw a chart somewhere but I can’t recall where.
I’ve played a few and even added one to my friends list. It was interesting with the mic… he laughed at my Dan imitations… hell we even did the Legendary Taunt at the same time, no lie. He’s invited me a few times, but since we’re in complete opposite time zones we don’t really get to play.
Anyways as some are saying, its probably the bars, even though as Basara has said, they lie.
speedtest.net show that those two countries lead the world in internet speed. I’m in Hawaii, but I don’t even both trying to play Japan. I have a few times and the majority of the time it’s pretty laggy.
I’m don’t understand why anyone would want to play with less than 4 bars.
The friend that I got my copy of SF4 from claimed he didn’t like it because online play was laggy and shitty. However, he just went online and kept joining the first room that popped up, regardless of connection strength. Oh well, his loss. :3
Yesterday, I kicked someone with two bars. He came back so I kicked him again and sent him a message, “2 bars too laggy”. He replied back in some kind of asian writing with a ? at the end.
I’m just going to assume it was Japanese for “you mad?”
