Cyke is fully invincible when he comes out, as opposed to commando. Cykes damage area is smaller obviously.
For Spiral/Sent, though, Capcom is much better (IMO) since if you’re doing what you should be doing with spiral, your opponent will never be in the path of Cyke. But Commando can still clear the area above you.
As a character, Cyke is better, but Capcom is no pushover. I actually like Capcom on point.
All hits up until the last hit of the sword do 1 damage each, the final hit causes FS and does a large amount. Drones keep the opponent grounded so the final hit will always connect and that’s the hit that matters, if you get a crappy sword it’s because they fell out and the last hit never got to connect.
I normally can load knives by performing a j.f or sj.f xx knives. The j.f is almost half-screen length, real high priority, and pretty fast. If cancelled at the point of connection with knife-load, it’s pretty hard to punish.
Spiral/Doom vs. Sent/Cap… hmm
all i see is boots and lasers galore with Doom dying before Spiral. I seriously can’t see Spiral covering Doom effectively against Sent/Cap the way Cable, Storm, or Strider can.
I agree. Doom is vulrenable towards the end of the rocks where his hands spread out wide - commando comes in nice and low where the rocks start to angle up. Spiral has to cover that gap everytime. Not to mention keeping sent on the ground.
I normally will call doom with knives and rush in with a s.FP and slow knife throwing to pin him down. I normally dash in with the last knife and do another s.FP+Doom. Pretty soon, he’s calling commando to keep me off him rather than trying to punish my Doom.
I dunno…footsie-happy Sents normally get air-thrown or sj.fp’d …and heaven forbid you get sent to a corner…that’s when massive lockdown begins. Doom rocks, circle knives…fun stuff.
I can see the massive chip with wos and Doom rocks when sents cornered. But I can’t see you air throwing or sj Hp against a sent in the air - all I see is frying pans cos you ain’t gonna get close enough to air throw.
