She’s popular because people know how to market her properly. At the end of the day, whether you lover her or hate her, she writes her own music and does things that aren’t blas. I think here music is really good, but the radio easily ruins her stuff due to the amount they play over and over again.

You’re agreeing with me and you don’t even know it. Industry music is first and foremost the product of the money that goes into it. If she didn’t have the expensive equipment, studios, etc, she wouldn’t be the same artist. Her sound and her image, costumes, videos, etc speaks more if not simply ‘as much’ to the amount of money she has than the amount of creativity. This is what MIA was saying in that quote I was talking about earlier.
