Blanka ain’t cheap, sure…but he’s an ambiguous bastard. Any one of you guys playing on PC? I can cope with any matchup except him and I seriously need help here. He’s the only character I can’t win against, like at all. After two damn years, lol. Can’t read that green ape. I’d be most grateful.

Good blanka players will outhitbox the jab.
I know you can get a counter hit standing fierce against jab happy Balrogs after a block string and that standing mp is a good poking tool against same, but what else reliably beats it? I have incredible trouble in that match up: so much so that I picked up Honda just for Rog players.

st.jab can be a reliable trade, and it’s fast enough to sometimes sneak between jabs to tag rog.
Sweep completely outhitboxes jab.
His active hitbox is too high to hit blanka’s leg, and your extended leg easily tags his knee.
Walk up and sweep his ass.
Blanka isn’t cheap.I don’t consider anything in the game cheap.Usually people calling things cheap is caused by them not knowing how to properly deal with things themselves.
T SRAI is not so good, Nishikin, Taku, utemasuka or Chari are much better Imo.
I think Taku has great control of Blanka from a physical standpoint.
He can do anything that the character can possibly do from an execution standpoint, he makes questionable decisions though sometimes which worries me a bit.
Yes, we need to watch more of this player, we don’t have enough.

Dont worry about that. I had a 86% avoidance rate…with Viper. On my other account I have a 56% avoidance rate…with Makoto (what the F is cheap about her?). Just telling you that scrubs will always hate on you if you beat them.

But on a serious note, imo it’s low level games like that that cause the hate I think. Blanka is pretty top tier in low-level world, where everyone is jumpy, crouch-tech happy and just looking for ways to FADC ultra. Blanka struggles hard at higher levels, but dominates the low. The low are more numerous and often more angsty and vocal. At low levels, Blanka: wins frequently and efficiently. Therefore ‘Cheap’.
