st.HP xx HK Scissor Kick, so that’s [back charge] HP > Forward > HK. Even though I believe I’m doing the right input, sometimes Psycho Crusher comes out instead. How do people effectively avoid this? It feels weird to need to either tap HP REALLY quickly or to hold it down until HK has been pressed.
Tap it very quickly. Helps to get in the habit for plinking.
or just hold HP, then push HK when you need. Only then you can release both buttons.

Yeah the minute I read the topic I assumed negative edge. But yes as others have said its negative edge. Methods for avoiding this have been mentioned already
