For example - Akuma’s close standing strong can be parried both high and low, but his close forward can only be parried high. Ken’s ducking strong can be parried both high and low. So while it’s true that there are mids avoid a low parry, it isn’t a rule.
he means attacks that you are able to block high or low, yet are only parryable in one direction…like akuma s.mk.
the best defensive option in 3s (just like any other sf) is and always will be…BLOCKING. anyone who thinks otherwise straight up does not understand the game on a high level.
Yeah parry at high level doesn’t save you from much as far as a defensive standpoint in 3S. It can accent your offense but blocking saves your ass when you’re getting fucked up. Or blocking to red parry which requires more specific time and ingenuity than shoryu FADC. There are so many ways to bait defensive parrying (both offensively and defensively).
Yeah Elena’s c.MP is the main reason why she’s a weak Chun Li. It’s a typical mid ranged attack like SFIV Ryu c.MP. Can be blocked high or low. It has nice range and looks like a low hit but it’s not. Can also be parried high or low. Meaning it’s easily option selected.
i get that some people dont like 3s, but many do love, and still play very much, before sf4, thats all i played, all SF games are fun, even the EX games despite being crap. so why all the hate on 3s
Yeah. Not that she really needs that move. It’s actually got situations where it’s useful like if you’re just looking for a quick knockdown against someone whiffing shit or a general anti air at specific ranges.
