I would suggest learning Ryu and playing him solely until SSF4.
When SSF4 comes out you’ll know the basics and foundation of the game and you can play the new characters that no one knows how to play against (Adon sounds right up your alley!)

its not the characters, its the game
because everyone in sf4 is very dry
true statement.
I play so many bad Kens that when I actually play this one really good Ken on my friends list he pretty much owns me everytime.
Ken players need to pick up the slack. The crappy ones make it so easy for the good ones lol
You might not like any of the characters because you don’t like the game. I have this problem as well.
You want a “beyond easy” character to play??? PICK BALROG and spam cr. jab all day and a few buffalo headbutz and rake in all the wins.
I can vouch for this. For shits and giggles decided “I have no idea how to use him but I’ll mimic what I’ve seen done to me.” and won a Championship mode @_@
I still think Sagat is easier to play than Balrog.
Ive only picked Sagat a few times, and its easy to just spam a win out.
Balrog has some tricky timing.
I had this problem too, which led to my low tier habit and subsequent Sanforditis. Basically, all the interesting chars got gimped in some major way that made them not terribly worth playing. It’s hard to get enthusiastic about char when they end up being a headache to use more often than they end up being fun.
as others have said, it’s not the characters, it’s the game. It’s just very dull and repetitive. lol Sanforditis could describe what i’m going through as well
