Why do fans and Capcom shy away from Street Fighter 3 2nd Impact and New Generation

Why don’t people love this obscure game I like?

Goddamn hipsters, 3rd Strike is obscure enough. Don’t need to go to the next level of hipsterdom to increase your fighting game e-peen.

it’s really sad that 3S is the “polished & tuned third game” of the series (music, art direction, aesthetics notwithstanding).

I’m pretty sure ST and Alpha 3 ARE the latest iteration of their series. I know ST has a small, but dedicated following, and the same goes with Alpha 3 in Japan, where they still hold occasional tournament.s

lets not kid yourselves, 3s is just as busted.

yun is wayyy too good.

after using yun and rufus in sf4 and going back using yun in 3s, you’ll see how good that character really is.

i’m not even gonna get into 3s chun.

There’s versions after ST (like the ST from the Anny Collection and HDR) and A3 (A3 Upper, Max)

Disagree with 98UM, both 98 and 98UM are played basically equally.

Not a fan of SF3 but prefer 2I over 3S. Faster, one button throw, better low jump input, better looking stages. Stages in 3S always looked washed out to me, and not a fan of most of the music.

But as stated, it doesn’t get played, why bother. If they made Hyper SF3, I’d play. You keep your two button grabbing, I’ll have my 2I Dudley with EX Air Smasher. LOL, and you will get out grabbed… like using a one button grabber in Hyper Alpha. Newer characters get raped.

3S Chun? Yun? LOL. 2I Shin Akuma says hi.

NG Ibuki is hilarious

No, 98um and 98fe is pretty much dead even in Japan. There hasn’t been any footage even from A-Cho and it is the start of the kof rankings for A-Cho.

Really? Damn could have sworn they were still slightly active. Sucks to hear.

Pretty much all that needs to be said has been. 2I is fun once in awhile, but 3s is still the best one by a longshot. Also, 2I Akuma’s divekick is safe even on block or parry. X_x
