I just moved here about a year ago, but the arcade my friends took me to is located at some mall; I forget the name. It doesn’t have MvC2. The draw there is Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. Besides Tekken 6 hasn’t come to America yet, I think.
The place I’m talking about it Dalton State College; we play all kinds of fighters in the Student Center. I bring my DC and modded PS2 and we go at it.
Yeah, the Time Out Arcade is at Walnut Square.
I knew about T5:DR, but I’ve not kept up with new releases.
I was there the day the shell for the T5 cab came in. With the crate on the bottom, we all thought we would need stools or something to sit on to play.
I’ve attended Dalton State for a few classes. Before the PS2 kiosks they actually had around 3 stand-up machines at any one time.
T5 was the biggest Draw last time I was at the Student Center. That, FiFa, and various Football games.
One guy brought in Alpha collection one day. That was neat.
Has the parking situation on campus improved any?
My big complaint was having to park behind the gym to walk down the hill and around buildings to get to the Tech department. Then back up the hill to get to a phys. ed. class.
Those were “good” times…yeah…
A lot of people still obsess over the Tekken 5 on the PS2, but I refuse to play it, I prefer Tekken 4 and Tekken Tag. They still leave on the football and Soccer games. I brought my own PS2 and games because I got tired of asking the office to switch out the games all the time.
They actually removed the controllers from one of the PS2 kiosks, because they know I bring in my consoles everyday! “leave one of them free; the guy with the Dreamcast is going to take the TV anyway.” Neat.
They say they are going to expand the parking lot, according to what Matthew told me. I forget when they said it will be complete. I live in woody valley right next to campus though, so I don’t have to worry about parking.
Tekken 4 is more broken then Tekken 5 that doesn’t even make sense… (T4 Jin>T5 Steve and his 3,1,1)

I used to think that too, but its actually not…even though Jin is God Tier in T4, its overall more balanced than T5 5.0 and 5.1. Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection is actually what is most balanced…but its still Tekken 5, so I still won’t play it. The system is too juggle happy, sidestepping sucks and the whole thing is way too mainstream for me. With Tekken 4, they actually tried to branch out and be creative with movement and terrain over crazy juggles and accessibility.
Because the best 2 characters in the game are black.

Tekken is all about spacing…there is no spacing in T4 due to lack of backdash
