How about instead of talking to me you go help the guy since you’re wearing your White Knight armor. Getting bodied isn’t anything new. He’s dealing with a normal experience, one that everyone in the FGC goes through (more than once in their life if they plan on playing more than one fighting game). No one is born good, you have to get good or get the fuck out.
But yeah, go handicap yourself and play with the dude, spoon feeding ass nigga.
Crazy that you bitch and moan endlessly about how companyies should change a game to suit you because you’re not good enough to hack it thereby ruining said game in the process.
It’s amply obvious you want quick results without putting in the time. Guess what, anything worth doing requires at least a modicum of dedication.
Just suck it up, take your licks and you will eventually improve. The problem is not whether you’re capable; it’s whether you’re willing.
Stop trying to cheapen the experience for the rest of us because you’re lazy.
SF4 is bad enough, but if even that pos game is too much for you, go play Naruto or whatever the hell else is made to cater to the army of entitled moaners.
I gave SF4 300 hours of my time. That time was spent in training mode, against my sparring partners, and against random people on ranked/endless. That’s not a lot, relatively speaking, but I think it would at least qualify as “a modicum of dedication.” And that’s not even considering all the time spent outside of the game; watching tutorials, reading threads, searching up and down for tips on how to improve. I even spent extra for a fightpad and the Ultra upgrade, and until just recently, I was seriously considering switching to stick.
In conclusion:
No, I have put in the time.
No, I am not lazy.
No, I am not an entitled moaner.
That is the issue with games, not just with SF. Counting one’s dedication according to the time they spent on a game is not the best way.
You literally have to see beyond this and transcend time just like in the pre-internet days. Or else this puts an extra weight on your shoulder.
Who cares if you spent 6 or 6000 hours on the game. If you love to play the game, it shows
Nigga, did you even read his post or are you having a conversation with yourself? If anyone is potentially “mildly retarded”, I’d say you’re looking like a stronger candidate.
I got 1K hours clocked in USFIV on Steam and that’s not counting in the time I spent playing on PS3 before I dropped that version.
Guess what I still suck.
Did I get better? Definitely, I win 50% of the time.
I’m enjoying SF3 and SF4 too much though, to quit playing them. I feel it’s a great use of my time.
Kinda like learning an instrument, you never know if you’ll ever master it but I feel like the journey of trying it, is worth it.
Imo it’s just about getting to the point where you really understand and can control your character.
Once you get to the point where you can actually play the game of footsies and knockdowns as opposed to being overwhelmed by constant jumpins or constantly hitting bad buttons or dropping all your combos then it’s all just decision making from there and the salt goes down a lot.
I have improved. That much I know for certain. I have just lost interest in playing SF4. It’s no longer fun for me to play. Besides, I have a ton of other games on the backburner, not the least of which is xenoverse.
Are you getting pissy at him because was 5 years late to the game? Don’t forget that not too long ago you guys forced them to change the game you loved like more times than I can count on one hand.
