Actually Megaman.EXE was never disconfirmed. Go back and look at the video from the panel, if anything Nitsuma was teasing a Battle Network representative versus denying one. Look around the 2:30 mark.

Where the whole “no love” quote came from was from the audiences booing and “X” chanting.
Yeah no I know about the panel quote. I thought I had heard he was disconfirmed before that. Maybe it was even during the little livestream that was showing people playing the game, while they occasionally interviewed people about MvC3 like Niitsuma and Seth.
I swear it was brought up, and then pretty much jokingly shrugged off.
Everyone initially thought he was because the liveblog that night simply said, “no love for Battle Network”. When the video came out we got to see a little more of the context and what was said afterword which changed things.
It WAS stated that Ruby was a rejected Darkstalkers character. That much is true. There is an article floating around somewhere.
I don’t remember too much about Amingo though.

Also, while on the subject of Darkstalkers, I hope we get more concrete info about more Darkstalkers characters. Personally I’d like to see Anakaris back, but I’m not sure if they outright disconfirmed anymore Darkstalkers characters.
Rejected, yeah, but until I see her in a Darkstalkers game (if they do a new one…which is completely random at this point) she’s just a MvC2 character.
Nah she’s a Darkstalker, it makes her design so much cooler.

Actually… Darkstalkers is out completely. I don’t know why you copied what I said over on GameFAQs word for word but decided not to trust that bullet point.
Darkstalkers series - It is important to consider worldwide appeal. Although I did want to include more characters from this series, the development schedule did not permit this. Jon Talbain would have been my pick.

its impossible because there’s always an element of ‘wishful thinking’ in it. People tend to say the characters they want are likely.
