In that case I may as well wait until its price drops next christmas… Im sure as hell it’ll go down at least 10% in value by then. Until then, vanilla and burnout Paradise.
Dudley, Ibuki, or Dee Jay most likely.
Dudley’s a blast to play in 3s, and if he’s even remotely similar (which he seems to be) I’ll love him here too. Ibuki’s looking really deadly in general, and lord knows I love me some mixups.
Dee Jay … that grin is just infectious.
Dee Jay was so powerful on early revisions. EX kick stuns and leads to Ultra. Not anymore.
I heard T.Hawk is pretty balanced and should be a big threat.

Sticking with Chun since from the looks of things, it’ll be a Hell of a lot easier to steal wins in this version! Ken’s shaping up to be solid too, so I might add him as my backup (I played around with him in IV but usually just got frustrated and pulled out Ryu whenever I wanted to use someone other than Chun).
I’ll play at least one new character on the side just because it’s the cool thing to do, but I’ll probably end up using Ibuki exclusively. Dudley’s sick but it looks like everyone’s going to be whoring him out, never cared much for Alpha and Makoto just looks wacky in 3D.
It’s weird, I’m glad that the option for characters is there in Super, but I can’t really picture me using any of them.
Akuma & Cody. Maybe I’ll go back to Chun again if Cody doesn’t work out.
Cammy of course. Might play Cody a bit for fun.
I’m gonna give Makoto an initial try, and then drop her cause she’ll suck. I’ll give Deejay a try and then drop him cause he’ll suck. Then I’ll go cry in a corner because my two most looked forward to characters were designed poorly for the system and are nothing compared to their previous iterations.
Then I’ll try ryu since he’s who I’m maining currently and realize that dudley’s dp does twice as much as mine since they decided to nerf all other dp’s and give him higher dmg dp’s with lp than sagat can do with hp, and THEN combo into an hp dp that does more than any other. And I’ll drop him.
Then I’ll try out cody and chun, since cody looks like he can lame people out all day and chun just looks like she’s only received buffs and will be easily top tier where she belongs.
Basically… I want a character with a fireball who doesn’t suck, which I think will only be chun and juri

Maybe you should have tried actually reading the OP. The point of this is for the Canada SF crowd to talk about it specifically, since the odds are a lot better that we know each other somewhat.

After looking over the changes… I might STILL deal with ryu, but the jury is out. MP srk FADC ultra only loses 30 dmg compared to the old value, which isn’t so bad. The nerf to super storing hurts, but lately I’ve been hit confirming it off of c.mk/air hurricane/f+fp, srk, super… so it might not be as big as a nerf list as suspected. Also I’m willing to bet they made some little change to his pokes that will result in a buff.

I’ve put in way too much time with Cammy to drop her, so I’ll play her still. Dee Jay (my old SSF2 main) and Ibuki are gonna be my main alts. I’m gonna get bumrushed as Ibuki for probably 3 months, I have no idea what I’m getting myself into with her but she has a lot of tools and potential I like.
I’ll play Guile and Ken on the side probably still, because I find them kinda fun and I have an OK handle on how they’re supposed to be played. And then I want to learn Cody or Guy to an average level at least, they both look fun. And maybe have a really scrubby T.Hawk just for shits and giggles.
Cody and Makoto. But I’m going to give all the new faces a try. They all look really good so far. T.Hawk surprised me the most. exDP->Hawkdive is so beast baha
Peep the avatar. Gonna probably also still play Blanka and Bison as well. So Dee Jay/Blanka/Bison. Dee Jay is gonna make me cry though since I’m 90% sure he isn’t going to be as good as he was in ST.
Might pick up Hakan and maybe try Cody. Maybe I’ll try to learn Chun seeing as she’s the only charge character I didn’t really try in vanilla 4… And it seems she got nothing but buffs.
But I’m pretty sure I’m gonna quit learning the game in like 3 or 4 months like I did with vanilla 4.
