As of right now, I’m loving playing Gen again. He was my alt in vanilla, and with all the new fancy characters and new tricks out there, sadly I kind of forgot about him.
All of the complaints of his nerfs didn’t help that any either. He feels a little different now, but I think its making my playstyle grow and get more agressive.
I rarely rarely rarely ever rushdown w/ Vega, but playing Gen I can rush all day. Hopefully this carries over when I’m playing Vega.

I use Hawk. He’s completely different from Claw. I have no idea why I use him.
I use to alt him in vanilla also, I think I’m better w him as opposed to chun. I love his ambiguous jumps and since claw doesn’t really cross up I kinda over do it w Gen lol.

I completely suck w Hawk but he’s fun as hell to use, his damage is ridiculous! That and his taunts r hilarious, I think I taunt the most when using him.
That’s odd that three of us have alt-ed Gen at some point in vanilla haha! I alt-ed him before I realized Bison was fun as hell <3 (His dash, seriously. Proof that skipping is magnificent!)

Seth. I started playing him when I got my TE-stick in order to get the hang of it (since he’s always doing shit), and he really grew on me. I’ve been playing him sporadically since, balls to the walls rushdown is too damn fun. Win fast, die fast. No inbetweens. Though in my case, it’s mostly die fast, cuz my Seth is shit.
I remember watching a stream and people were asking for Gen and the guys went "There are only four Gen’s in the world! and none of them are here."

Trying to dabble with Bison a little bit. I’m liking his style. Plus, his Ultra 2 is pretty nice.
I guess I am the first Vega player on the board to answer this question with Viper.
She’s hella fun. Her mixups and aerial shenanigans are loads of fun.
I also really enjoy how the hard work grinding to be able to execute some of her shit is paying off. It’s satisfying to be able to do things in matches that lots of other players absolutely could not do without spending weeks in training mode to pick it up.
However, I rarely win with her.
Guile. He actually serves as a pretty good counter for most of Vega’s annoying matchups. For me it feels as though playing with either Guile or Vega actually strengthens my game with the other character. It just makes me think about the game from a different perspective, something which positively influences my playstyle with Vega most of the time. Though I’d still consider Vega my main as I just have more experience with him, I’m glad I’ve started learning Guile as he’s just a more solid character overall and helps out alot when I encounter a matchup that is just straight up frustrating for Vega.
EDIT: And once Alex is in this game I’m definitely picking him up. Hell if he’s solid enough I might even main him and switch Vega and Guile to sub status.
