If i were at some tournament i would let balrog and bison get their hands dirty first, and then if they kick their ass I’ll bust out vega, kind of as a way of saying THIS IS MY FINAL FORM!! if they beat Vega im pretty much screwed though.
which is why I think its a good idea too learn more than one character.

That’s what I was thinking, when I’m trying out a new character I’m lucky to have points by the time I finish.
I think Ken Masters makes a very solid secondary. He makes my hardest fights more than bareable and I am not very good with him yet. He makes cammy seem like much less of a threat and neautrilizes rufus. Plus it’s fun as hell to just mash out a shoryuken every now and again when you are in trouble since of course you have no way to do that kinda stuff with vega :D.

Rog, Bison, Adon, Seth (Started with fei long and abel in vanilla but random shit beats them)
bison. trying out seth. play a bit of e.honda. i mostly learned those characters is because i didn’t understand their weaknesses well enough. seth was because i finally got a stick and always wanted to use him but keep making stupid moves come out on a xbox controller. charge characters on xbox controller=less mistakes
cody! easy combos, lots of frame traps, pretty good damage on overhead(resulting in a pretty good high-low mix up game). Great anti-airs. It’s just that his walk speed is kinda slow, and his normals aren’t as good as vega’s in footsies
My secondary is T Hawk
honda if I’m feeling lazy, sim if I’m feeling turtly, working on guy though I don’t know if he’ll ever make it out of the kitchen
I’m suprised how many T.Hawks were mentioned… In the original situation I would pull out Guile because I typically do better with him in the matchups i struggle in with vega. I have more sucess with T.Hawk and consider him my secondary, but he shares some of the same matchup problems as vega (Blanka comes to mind).
E. Honda and Adon as my top “secondary” characters…scratch that - Honda’s my main these days, Vega’s second and Adon’s third. Then I fool around with Bison, Rufus, and Blanka equally.
I’m trying my best to learn Guy, being that I invested all my time and effort into Vega since vanilla. Just having a little trouble with the whole qcf inputs, mainly the double qcf for ultra 1.
Yeah I thought I was the only Vega/Hawk player haha. Their styles don’t exactly match. But then again I’ve always been a grappler player in previous games. Zangief never appealed to me in vanilla though, grappler with combos, tss.
Ibuki, great fun(even though I suck balls with her).
Then Guile, Hakan and Dan.
If things happen like I think they will with the new dlc characters, I’m going with Alex for my secondary 
my secondary is Abel and messing a bit with akuma but if alex is DLC i might be using vega as my secondary

It’s a toss up between Chun & Gen. Lately I’m leaning more towards Chun though …
