What character would you be happy with never seeing again in an MK game?
I think Mokap and Meat are givens, so they don’t even deserve a spot.

Kobra, Hsu Hao, Drahmin, Moloch, Meat…
…you know what, just all the new characters from MK:DA and beyond. To single out a character though, definitely Hsu Hao. I hope he makes a cameo as one of the people being dipped into the Dead Pool in MK9.

everyone MK4 and after, except Shinnok, Quan Chi, Fujinn, Kenshi, Bo Rai Cho and Havik.

I’m assuming story wise:
Liu kang: pretty boring.
Smoke: I mean he’s fun, it’s cool to have a grey ninja scorp who doesn’t suck, but seriously he’s a buffed scorp who’s story boils down to “lol i’m a tool”. He’s worse than cyrax.
Chameleon: male or female.
Stryker: i still don’t even know this guys story. I’m sure i’ve read it before, but hell if i can remember it.
Kai: His story sucks. His moves sucked TWICE(to the best of my knowledge). The players hate kai, the devs hate kai, and I personally wouldn’t mind at all if a portion of the new game began with 3 people beating in the hell out him.
Tanya: "we sorta have sex appeal…but we need a slut who isn’t horribly disfigured."
Blaze: Never ever should have been fleshed out.
Bo’ Rai Cho: tee hee…fart humor.
Hsu Hao: "So…all these organizations we’ve created technically have to have footsoldiers…right?"
Dariou and Darrius: I just don’t care at all about either one of them.
Hotaru: ditto.
Kobra: yawn.
Taven and Daegon: taven wins the “dumbest living human being not in a vegetative state award” and Daegon wins the “whiny and cliche villian award.”
That’s a pretty nice list and i’m not just going by story since character design gets some points as well(this is why you don’t see any boss characters there), but really i always cringe when people say the high point of MK is story. So many cliche’s and convoluted plot lines mashed together is just too much.
Noob Saibot. He was always ridiculous and just his character name alone sparks a rage in me that he ever made it into a game, let alone multiple games. In fact, sans the first couple (Sub-Zero, Scorpion & Reptile) and maybe some robots (Cyrax, Sektor), I hate all of the ninjas because it just seemed way too lazy and uninspired.

Good choices, I’d also add in Dairou just because he’s fun as hell to play as.
They should of scrapped Hotaru’s original costume and just let his alternate be the real costume . I think he would of been fine overall with that ( I don’t know much about him storyline related ) .
Liu Kang and every character from MK4 onwards. (Except Quan Chi, Shinnok who has a lot of redesign potential, Fujin and Havik - Bo Rai Cho too with less farting and puking)
MK’s character designs have a critical flaw that has been overlooked I believe. The majority of the cast be it male or female share the same body type and size, they all look like they are the same age even though they could be significantly older, the exceptions are the boss characters who in a cliche way are all oversized. Looking at the new video, the mistake is being repeated. Reptile in MKD and Bo Rai Cho are the only exceptions and even then barely. Originally this was because of the digitized sprites and the human actors, but there is nothing to stop them now from giving characters different body shapes, sizes, weights, skeletal frames etc. Look at the SF characters, each and everyone has a unique body shape and size except Ryu, Ken and Akuma (Dan probably as well).
I actually liked Drahmin. But to answer the question, pretty much everyone from MK 4 on except Quan Chi, Shinnok, and Kenshi. I never liked Bo Rai Cho because he reminded me of my uncles (ie a big fat drunk)

I loved all the UMK3 characters, but the only post-UMK3 characters I had any real interest in were Fujin, Quan Chi, Shinnok, Bo’ Rai Cho, Nitara, Kenshi, Darrius and Hotaru. Everything else has been meh at best.
Johnny Cage, because he just looks gay. In Second place, any character that is a palette swap.
