I was under the impression that she was an innocent who by chance receive Bison’s good soul but I no longer think this.
For one, Bison was her master, he taught her things but why? Bison also says that this power was granted only to them (rose and him), I assume he refers to Psycho Power but Rose weilds Soul Power (which I’m not sure what it is yet). Bison also says that they are two separate lives sharing the same soul.
I don’t understand how the “split” occured and if there even WAS a split and why does Bison tell Rose that she will stand victorious in the world of eternal doom (hell?).
A few questions I wanted to ask about this. I’m hoping Tiamat might be able to help on these.
I know Bison and Rose share the same soul, and that this soul gets fused together again in SFA3. However, I cannot think where it officially states that the soul that is split is Bisons. It could well be someone elses soul that entered 2 different bodies when he passed away, or even Rose’s soul after she expels the evil away from her soul.
Is there any official records in mooks or in the game which say the soul was originally Bisons?
Also, I can’t understand how Bison can merge with Rose’s soul (Rose’s ending), and then get distroyed by Charlie (Guile’s ending) where he is clearly his normal self. Unless there is a canon explination, I can’t see how both endings can hold as true.
I also just wanted to point out that Bison DIDN’T originally want Ryu to be his host body. If you get the ‘bad’ ending, you see that he only wants to use Ryus power to blow up a city. Nothing about a host body.
In Bison’s ending, he doesn’t mention that he needs a host body, but does say that as long as he has Ryu’s power and body in his hands, he is invincible. I think this also suggests that he is using Ryu as a pawn. It may hint that he wants it as a back up body later in life, but he doesn’t say it at all.
In the Ryu ending however, he does want to use Ryu’s body. I suspect that this is because Ryu just beat the crap out of his last one and so a change would be a good idea :pleased:
I also can’t find a quote from SFA3 that suggests that Cammy was supposed to be a host body at all. In fact, Bison was supprised she was still alive (as he sent Vega to kill her).
I’ve read the plot guide but it doesn’t answer any of the questions I asked. Reread the post. I think people are a little confused so I will reiterate my question.
My point about Cammy was that there is NO mention of her becoming a host body in the SFA3, but it is written in the plot guide that Bison says he made her to be a host body. Is this just a screw up from Capcom USA in SFA3 or something else?
My point on Guiles ending and Roses ending is that they CANNOT both occur (unless someone can provide a cannon reason on how they do).
My point on the soul splitting is that there is no evidence it was Bisons soul that split. It could have been Roses’ or even someone elses. Does anyone have PROOF it was Bisons soul?
NONE of these answers are in the plot guide. This is why I am asking them. Can anyone help me on this? (No more referals to the plot guide please).
I thought in bison’s intro in Alpha 3 it stated that Bison’s power was growing so great that he needed a new host body because his current one couldn’t take much more power? That’s the only contribution I have to offer, I’m pretty sure that it wasn’t just Ryu’s ending that spoke of host bodies.
You bring up very good questions. We know Bison and Rose share the same soul, but lead two separate lives. We also know that they fuse together at the end of Alpha3. But where does it state that they split to begin with? More precisely, where does it say that Bison excorized his good side?
I ask this because some of you keep ignoring the fact that Rose studied under Bison for several years.
Bison in Alpha3 wants a new host body to store his Psycho Power in. He even tells Ryu that he is destined to be his next host body. The odd thing is, when Bison captures Ryu he syphons Ryu’s power to enhance the psycho drive - we don’t know if he will even transfer his soul to Ryu’s body.
I don’t think Bison originally wanted Ryu as a host body, but instead needed someone to power the Psycho Drive so that he could blow up a city. As we have recently discovered, Ryu pocesses a form of Psycho Power which is Hadou. It is only when Ryu beats Bisons body to a pulp that he feels he should take over Ryus body (however it turns out he couldn’t do it even when he tried, as the SnH didn’t obey his command).
I was thinking a little more into it and I guess the answer must be that Bison beat Rose and left her unconcious as the base was being attacked by different Street Fighters (like Charlie and Guile).
He went to protect the psycho drive and stop Charlie and Guile. However, Charlie stopped him from escaping as the explosives went off. I imagine Rose was in another room or something, so when Bisons body was blown up, he managed to combine with Rose (who was mostly dead).
I still find it strange that he emphasises that Rose is the one that will “stand victorious in the world of eternal doom”, and that Rose says “This means… you will… No… I myself… will…” suggesting that it is not Bison that will commit evil in the future, but more Rose. Anyone have any ideas on what this is emphasising?
I think it was emphasising that he was gonna take over her body.
I thought there was some official art somewhere with Rose wearing or holding Bison’s hat? I also remember something about her being the Lady of Shadaloo/law until Bison could construct a new body. So anything evil that happened between that time, she technically had a part in.
Also, if she hadn’t of gotten her ass kicked, Bison wouldn’t have had an ample host body lying around “just in case”.
My guess is they really didn’t translate “word of eternal doom” well. It seems more like he was trying to tell her that she would be the last one standing after the whole thing was said and done.
