I fought a D spamming Tao last night, and I really had no answer for her. She kept flying around the screen like a jumping bean. I’m sure if I played her more I would figure something out, but for that one moment spamming D and flying around the screen was the perfect tactic for beating me…lol
Heh, know what you mean… I just played a Tao that did nothing but 2D, with the occasional 6A, j.A… and that was apparently all it took to beat me.
2D? That’ll whiff and put her in a bad position if she’s not right up next to you, in which case you could definitely poke her and score a CH.
Eh, now that I think about it… 2D isn’t what was being mashed, just plane old D(forgot what 2D even was for a second…and Tao is my supposed main, ugh). What was sad was that there was a pattern to all that, and I still couldn’t capitalize.
Guess it’s back to the training room to practice combos off of CH.

Pretty much only Jin, Noel and Nu.
Just played a level 40 Nu who mashed on D all day, AKA a top Nu player.
Where are all the Nu’s? I’ve only fought 2 in ranked so far (that’s with about 60-70 matches) and 1 (my cousin) in Player.
For me, I’ve seen mostly Noel, Jin, and Ragna. Granted, I only have around 35 matches under my belt at this point though.
Where are all my Arakune buddies at? 
Out of the thirty or so matches I’ve had, a large amount of them were Noel or Jin.
Fought a few Nus, Ragnas, Taos, and Tagers, too.
A couple of Bangs and Arakunes.
One Litchi, one Hakumen.
Looks like I’ve run into a somewhat more diverse group of players than most.
Yea, Noel takes the cake for most fought character.
All i’ve seen are spamming Jins and V-13s. I did play one tager that split my asshole open several games over.
noone is as epic as Bang, though.
I’ve run into mostly Ragna, Noel, and Jin in that order. Being a Noel player myself, it sucks a little, but oh well lol. I haven’t run into as many Nus as I originally had anticipated. A few Arakune and Rachel here and there. I kind of figured to see mostly the top tier. Then again 70% of the players out there just mash drive all day. I think the rest of the cast I’ve seen at least once. The first Tager I ran into completely obliterated me, he definitely knew what he was doing.
O, how I long for the day when flowcharting ceases to exist.
I think it depends on your rank. Because I see Ragna and Jin’s more at 15 and up and I’m starting to run into a lot of the top 3 (Nu, Arakune, & Rachel) But also I’ve only fought Noel 4 times.

It’s pretty awful, what’s with the off-main characters being so popular? I picked up Noel and am working my way to Bang and maybe Haku.
My opinion? They look at the higher tier characters and see that they have to deal with putting alot of shit on the screen and it looks complicated, so they go for a more straightforward Jin surfboard or Noel D mash technique.
I’ve never played a guilty gear game before and someone said jin was pretty easy to pick up so…
Like someone said, there is a very small cast so its going to be very repetitive. On topic I’ve seen a little of everything.
Played around 100 on ranked now on PSN. I’m seeing slightly more diversity now. Finally faced my first Rachel, and am running into a lot more Arukunes. Haven’t really seen a lot of Jin’s, far more Ragna’s. I’d say Ragna and Noel’s make up at least 50% of my matches. I’m also noticing a lot of people picking Nu in ranked now who don’t have her on their profile. Perhaps frustrated players looking for an apparent easy button.

I fought like 5 taos and got raped by 2 or 3 of em, fought a bang which i thought spammed D all game using that thing to get his meter for fu rin ka zan, 0 carls, 1 tager and like 5 ragna’s. Thats all I have at the top of my head for this moment, now lemme stop ranting lol:sweat:

ive actually fought quite a few haku’s too come to think of it. all of them pretty much knew combo’s :X

So far I’ve fought everyone in the cast except for Carl. Noel seems to be the most used character but I get a pretty even distribution.
The Jin’s I play spam Ice Car and C mash. Just have to teach them the hardway that B/C Ice Car is not safe on block. Oh, and I guarantee you if you face my Jin you are going to get someone that does A LOT more than Ice Car and C Mash. Honestly, I rarely use those outside of combos or blockstrings.
