Noticed a decrease in Jin players but I think that’s partially due to the fact that a lot of Jin players (at least based on the D-Card) refuse to fight my Jin after viewing my win percentages with Jin.
Noticing a drop in the amount of Arakune players then a week or two into the game. Big influx of Haku-men players for me at the moment and I’m beginning to grow tired of the match up. I either overwhelm the Haku-men player or find one that plays really defensively and does a good job at handling the Jin match up.
Barely fighting Noel’s and maybe a slight increase in Ragna’s. Tager’s and Nu’s are pretty abundant as well but I’ve only fought 3 really good Tagers that I could say I felt pressured from.
The rest of the cast is rare with Carl being the least represented.
since launch(starting the day after it came out i guess…) the characters i see the most go in this order:
Jin
Ragna/hakumen
//// huge gap ////
Noel
Taokaka
Tager
Arakune
Rachel/Litchi/nu
in totality i’ve seen 2 Rachels, and like 6 arakunes and 2 Litchis in my 100+ some games.
I’ll update the game count later but i rarely see anything outside of what i’ve listed, also of note I mean literally in the gap I’m talking about jin i face prolly 50% of the time followed by ragna who i face a good 25% of the time. the other characters listed split the differance. it should also be known that I’ve been playing Nu since before the game came out on console(only like once but still lol(picked her because she was a robot chick lol) and before I knew she was OP since I’m paranoid of people calling me a tier whore i feel the need to defend myself by stating my other chars.(fei long in ST, Faust in GGXX:AC, M.Bison in SFIV).
Otherwise, here on the PS3 there’s really a good amount of Noels, Hakumen, Ragna and Jin.
The one’s that you’ll barely see are the Carls, Bang, Rachel, and Arakune.
I’m starting to see a LOT of Arakunes…and the matches always start out the same way. Jump back, dust, shark attack thingy. And it continues like this till they either hit me with the dust cloud, or they’ll keep trying to go for the cross up with the air shark thing. It’s pretty annoying.
(From most to least)
Jin
Noel
Tager
Ragna
Hakumen
Tao
Nu
Arakune
Rachel
Litchi
Bang
Carl
After the first week, it seemed to settle to this character frequency. Surprisingly enough I fight very few Ragnas, it seems that Jin and Noel dominate. It’s not surprising though considering the both character’s allure, Jin can freeze and Noel has invincibility on startup on her drives resulting in a bunch of shenanigans unless you know the match. Tager is also surprisingly popular but after playing I can kinda see why, while not being the best in terms of tiers he is really easy to pick up and play not to mention his simplest combo does mad damage.
Hey! I remember you. Saw your name on the lobby, that’s all
But that’s true, some Arakune just likes to spam those clouds and sharks. But Arakune’s H.j > j . 236D is really an important move in the beginning of the match.
Note to Arakunes, Don’t spam floor sharks or you’re gonna get owned if they blocked. :nono:
