I don’t think this thread has been made before, at least in AE. So it’s all in the title, who has best uppercut in term of recovery, invicibility, damage, range, viability on wake up, combo ability and etc…
ken
because of the fire
Poongko
Ha! Without a doubt, Saikyo- black and red belt, Dan Hibiki-san :nunchuck:

Honestly though…his is the most mentally rewarding lol
Oni is a honorable mention as well despite not being FADC-able on block
There’s something called frame-data for a reason.
Each SRK has distinct properties… there isn’t a ‘best SRK’.
Arguably the most useful in terms of each character’s tools would probably be Seth.
He can FADC on the second hit, or let it rip if it hits, and gets a free mixup afterward.
I don’t see exactly what this thread is trying to accomplish. One tool does not make a character. Even if they have the best one.
EDIT: fixed link. Went to Super instead of AE for some reason.
I’m pretty sure Seth’s Dragon Punch makes him up as a character. What would Seth be without his DP…a retarded teleporting zangief
Capcom made the decision to turn Seth into a DP machine, so I’m not really sure why they’re nerfing it. Seth’s DP is probably the best overall though. LP DP gives him good damage against bad jump ins, MP and HP will beat any with their 7f invincibility. EX will beat everything with it’s massive invincibility frames and it does incredible damage as well. The threat of his command grab alongside 7f of invincibility makes his FADC DP arguably the best as well, although it won’t be in 2012 (I think Ken will have the best FADC DP with 2012.) Only things going against Seth’s DP are the 5f start up and the lack of strike invincibility on the LP version. For wake up, Akuma’s EX DP is probably the best.
LMAO! You’re the KING!
Seriously, Seth in my opinion… so much so that if they removed it’s benefits. Seth would be considerably weakened.
I marginally disagree. But i understand where you’re coming from.
Also why is Akumas EX DP best for wake-up? i’m not doubting you, just don’t know what makes it so special. (3 hit FADC?)
cvs2 sagat
THE END
3f + 18f of invincibility + FADCable (2? inv frames more than Ryu’s)
I think Ken will have the best FADC DP mix up in AE2012 because he can back dash after hit confirming his DP and threaten you with kara throw among other things, Seth has to backdash without EX and that is bad for Seth.
The one that lands
Champ Edition Ken would eat that for breakfast.

You could FADC the first hit? i know that would most likely be guessing.
Or did they say that the first hit would have neg frames also?
I get you with Akumas DP… though FADC’ing an EX DP is pretty bad for a healthy meter.
You can FADC the first hit, but that doesn’t really matter much for Seth…it’s bad meter management and you don’t exactly have enough time to confirm if they went up in the air to follow up with stomps or blocked it and need to do ground mix ups. It’s still a good DP, just not as good.
I don’t know, though FADC’ing the second hit is exceptional… I’ve actually had a few player Focus the first hit & backdash the second hit on there wake-up. I do admit i was using SRK a bit over-frequently though.
It’s debatable i guess until 2012 gets a thorough testing by the masses.
either way, Dan has my favourite DP. (Not including Makoto’s Fukiage) I was hoping they brought back that wierd I-frames on every 5th (Or was it 9th?) Shoryuken that they had in SFA3
Sean, of course!
It’s Seth. Good damage, great priority, can FADC the 2nd hit. At the very least they’ll block it, which leads to a mix-up situation where Seth can choose from his millions of options to land more damage on you. On hit…same thing, he’ll apply his ridiculous offensive pressure on you to keep your back constantly on the ground.
Probably Seth, though Ken’s DP can auto correct easier, has better recovery and more range.
